They didn’t “sell” secrets, and this turns out not to be a big deal.
Some documents actually got sent over, they weren’t that big of a deal anyway, and Honeywell self reported the mistake. Seems like there’s no real security issue, but the government is assessing a process fine, and yes, it’s a slap on the wrist probably because they want to encourage self reporting.
This isn’t dissimilar to an accidental, self reported recruiting violation.
