Ah! Gone are the salad days of Butch and Black Santa. When UNC fans suddenly got snotty after hiring Butch whom they previously called another dirty cheating Miami coach . Then Black Santa was added and the sniping remarks about how dirty the Florida teams were …suddenly disappeared.
They had a few good years …until the bottom fell out due to scandals. Mack Brown can go to Hell …
I knew Black Santa -John Blake. We first met when he was at Nebraska. Blake would call me up and ask me about the five best players. I said coach I will send you a list of the players I like…He goes I don’t care about who you like…Give me the five best players, I only go after the best. I gave him numbers of those kids and that was it. Few months later he would sign them. He would kill it in the days of NIL. Butch knew what Blake was doing.
