I still don’t understand your hangup about Elon either. He catered to the liberal demographic early by focusing on clean energy, solar, public transport, upscale EVs. When all the tax incentives dried up, he catered to conservatives with talk of an EV truck. He picked up shop and moved to Texas and is enjoying a new round of incentives there. It’s a combination of marketing and money.

Because there is. If they are either agents undercover Theybare getting paid by the government. If they do it by their own accord then they probably get amazing benefits for doing it by the government…. Government contracts, tax breaks, litigation favors, ability to operate in a place or control what they need to control with no government intrusion.
I had a conversation with an FBI agent the other day (he’s recently retired). He admitted that the FBI and CIA always approach businesses at a certain point and create working relationships.
It’s not a far fetched idea that these relationships eventually become “arm twists” at some point so the government gets what she needs.
