I came across this article and mischievously considered purloining it as my own, claiming I experienced a religious epiphany. I thought that my being saved would have a resounding impact with those of you who are guided by religious zeal. I really like the article, but my intrinsic honesty precluded my submitting such a ruse.

The article appeared on X under the byline @Cynical Publius. Here is the text of the article:

"The more I see of Trump v2.0, the more I am convinced that God has had His hand on what is essentially an Old Testament redemption arc for America and for Trump.

Think about how much better off America is because Trump “lost” the 2020 election (or was cheated out of it, you tell me).

Trump v1.0 came to DC trusting the process and the institutions. He believed that the institutional powers of that city would accept his Constitutional mandate and assist in the exercise of his lawful powers. He believed his own Republican Party would stand by his side as its standard bearer. Unfortunately, he was naive. He was swallowed in the belly of Jonah’s Russiagate whale and his brothers in the GOP threw him down a well just like Joseph.

In 2020, a Biblical plague was deliberately unleashed on humanity in an effort to defeat Trump. Even though this “plague” was essentially a really bad case of the flu, Democrats used it as an excuse to destroy the economy and wreck society. To defeat Trump.

Stealing the 2020 election, the Democrats installed a barely coherent King Ahab and his wife, Dr. Jezebel, Ed.D. For 4 years we were awash with an invasion of our country, the depraved mutilation of our children right out of Sodom & Gomorrah, and a an increasingly poor nation that was seemingly on an inevitable decline into a Neo-Marxist Third World Hellhole.

But the Lord works in mysterious ways.

That period from January 2021 to January 2025 was the best possible thing that could have happened to America. It was completely necessary, and I’ll tell you why.

Trump had 4 years to ponder his errors in his first administration, to learn who he could and could not trust, and develop effective strategies to defeat the enemies that lay hidden in his path. Meanwhile, America was able to see the insane course the Democrats and the Deep State had charted for us. With a border awash in an alien invasion, with an economy in tatters, with an inherently evil man diminished by a melted brain in charge of it all, and with his cackling, 85 IQ heir-apparent trying to continue the decline, America knew what it had to do. Finally, in that 4 years we were able to unravel the evils of Russiagate and expose it for the grotesque crime it was.

Had Trump won in 2020, it would have been more of the same as with Trump v1.0: more impeachments, more intransigence from his own party, more rumor and innuendo about non-existent Russian “collusion,” more of a disgraced Presidency mired in trying to recover from the COVID economy.

Instead?

Trump had that all-essential break to regroup, and like the Israelite kings of old, he rode triumphantly into the capital city in 2025, and like Solomon he is determined to build the Temple that was promised.

Too much for you Biblical scholars? Blasphemous?

Perhaps. But you cannot deny the parallels in the redemption arc: it’s the Hero’s Journey upon which all great stories are built.

And know this: the downfall in 2020 that made us all lose hope was necessary for us to now have a President who ends wars, closes the border, rebuilds our military, ends transgender depravity on our children, restores our economic might and creates a "Golden Age” straight out of Old Testament prophecy.

Like I said, God works in mysterious ways. I, for one, am thankful I am here to see it."

You said god does not exist. Who is this economy good for. The cost of goods keeps going up. Come down to south florida. The cost of all goods are stupid. I guess if your super rich its great. Even trumpies down here are turning on king trump. Gsc still does not understand that trump policies will not really take effect for another year or two. Whose been wrong? The Tariffs were on, off, on,off…the impact has not yet been felt. There is a fact and that is the cost of goods continues to go up. People in this country who are not rich are suffering. These are facts. You can continue to ignore this and be nowhere to be found once the true effects of this crap has hit. You keep ignoring the fact that policies implemented by presidents will take time to effect people. The economy was on an upswing when Trump took office. Employment, Inflation was heading down, people were starting to feel good again. Now Inflation has risen since boy wonder took office. Why is it so hard for you to understand that his policies have not been put into place yet. GIVE IT TIME…You will sit there and deny that we ever had this conversation.

Baseline 10% has always been in effect for all. The reciprocal/punitive tariffs have been on and off as a negotiation lever.

I can easily identify with people of color yielding to societal pressure and reliably voting for Democrats since many Jewish families behave similarly. In my family, only two members are Republicans, my billionaire first cousin, and myself, and I am not necessarily indigent. A perfect example of this Jewish political party bias would be Elite80, whom I regard as being authoritative regarding sports as well as being a sensitive, affable human. Elite8 would be esteemed as a political sage were he in my own family. Unfortunately, my friend Elite80 is a like a blind squirrel when it comes to politics.

Elite80’s big problem is blaming the wrong person for his perceived ills of society. Proper blame belongs not toTrump but to both Obama and Biden who caused massive inflation by throttling energy production not to mention allowing millions of 3rd worlders to invade the country, taking jobs from citizens, and costing tax payers tens of millions of dollars in welfare benefits. Democrats are hardly friends to Israel in their fight against Hamas. Small wonder that Trump is revered by the Israeli people.

Bikki facts. Under Bush 2 and Trump I have had my worst years in business as have every other person I know. My good friend who is the biggest Trump lover is taking a beating right now and is over his ass. Blind is believing that this clown is actually doing well. When he is done…and TRUMP will be done which at this point is debatable the country is going to pay the ultimate price. You can’t spend like crazy and bring in less money. This trickle down economics has ALWAYS ended the same way with the country going into a recession. Keep your head stuck in the sand. We will see after four more years that Trump will run this country into the same ground he did with his casinos and all of his companies. No, it’s just lazy and wrong. Solomon’s story isn’t about losing power, regrouping and returning. It’s about inheriting the throne, achieving a golden age, then declining in his later years due to political and spiritual compromises. There’s no “time away to reflect and strategize” in his life. You’re attempting to cherry pick one moment from Solomon’s reign, the building of the Temple, as a symbol of leadership after a period of separation. That’s a thematic link, not a true narrative parallel.

He’s never ended a war

No modern democratic nation has ever achieved total closure of their borders.

The US maintains and has maintained the largest military on the planet before, during and after Trump. “Rebuilding is a rhetorical claim” that ignores baseline numbers and pretends any increase is a “recovery” from decline when no substantial decline has occurred.

This shows where you don’t really know anything about the Old Testament and don’t have the moral aptitude to be honest regarding our economic might. Trump has not, in even a single way, improved our economic might in any sense. There doesn’t exist a statistic in either his first or second term that shows he did anything but hurt the economy.

What the intention of your post was is to frame Trump as having some kind of divine right of Kings. Trump is the farthest human in politics from anything divine. The Old Testament never prophesied a golden age led by a twice-impeached casino failure who sells ugly sneakers and bad steaks. He’s far closer to the golden calves the Israelites worshiped, a walking contradiction to every biblical principle, practically auditioning for the AntiChrist in Revelation.

It’s wild, isn’t it? No wonder the guy likes Trump so much. I’ve truly never met a person that was so averse to any sense of honesty in my life, allergic to owning up to anything. He’d never admit it, but I’ve got $50 that he fights over visiting rights to his kids. Nobody can live a whole life with a person like that unless they were raised chained up to a bed.

Well, I’m just one guy but you’re god damned right. But, I wouldn’t frame it as a fight against Hamas as much as a fight against Palestinians, reporters trying to report the truth of their genocide, and aid workers trying to feed children. One of the key things that’s changed over the last few years is I’m now 100% a lifelong adversary of Israel and want them flatly abandoned in every way to face the consequences of their actions without the help of the US or any western nation. The biggest genocidal maniacs on the planet right now is the govt of Israel.

The irony is conservatives are by and large Catholic and Evangelical and support Israel only for the role they play in their perceived biblical prophecy, playing a role in end-times narratives. They do so while also believing that Jews need to convert to Christianity or that they are wrong in their faith and will burn in hell. Their support is political and strategic, but not genuine towards the actual people, only the State of Israel and how it can help their personal goals. Historically, these are the same people who forced Jews into ghettos, stole their assets and even marched them directly into giant ovens.

Liberal criticism ONLY has to do with the government of Israel and not the people, nothing whatsoever towards Jewish people as a people. They focus on the actions of the state in committing military actions, occupation and their lack of human rights.

Jewish people supporting conservatives in the US are building ovens from the inside without realizing they don’t control the door.

I have no doubt Elite80 that your family has supported Israel in charitable fashion which is certainly commendable, but Trump has been a greater friend to Israel than either Obama or Biden. The Israelis are quite fond of Trump while having widespread disdain for the two Democrat failed presidents. The USA no longer sends taxpayer funds to support Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

When considering the question of Gaza, it is important to bear in mind that the number of murders committed by the Palestinians on Oct 7 would be equivalent ,in terms of respective population to slaughtering forty thousand Americans. Almost every family in Israel, a nation of only ten million, was affected by this abominable act.

I consider tariffs a valuable political tool, and I applaud Trump for leveling the international business playing field. Without a shred of doubt, respect for the USA has skyrocketed among world nations.

When people cease killing each other, the result is defined as PEACE. Trump’s foreign policy is without peer in recent years, light years better than the two Democrat failures. When he succeeds in halting the war in Ukraine, he will belatedly be conferred a Nobel Prize. After all, Trump is the No. 1 human at the moment on the planet Earth

Trump is a man of incredible energy and gets things done with incredible expediency. Moreover, he communicates with people more openly than any past president of my memory.

And, how many of those Israelils were killed by the bloodthirsty Nazi-esque IDF? 20 out of the 105 IDF soldiers were killed by the IDF. How many civilians? How many were killed because of the hours of delay by the government? Wasn’t it 17% of all combat losses due to friendly fire? Didn’t they even kill 3 hostages who were being returned? What about the other 3 killed during the air strike in Jabalia? What about the helicopter strike that killed Efrat Katz? What about the 3 hostages murdered by the IDF when they were trying to surrender?

How many journalists? How many aid workers? How many civilians? How many times have we seen Israelis settlers stealing the land at the butt of a gun, attacking Palestinians? How many of their bloodthirsty monsters have sat in the street blocking aid trucks for 2 yr olds starving?

This didn’t start on October 7th. Israel has been slaughtering these people for decades while stealing their land and holding them in an open air concentration camp.

The sad thing is how in many of these stories posted on a social media app or a news site are flooded with quotes similar to "the German with the mustache was right."This last year has done more to drive antisemitism than anything in my lifetime and it’s horrible to see teenagers sympathetic to Hitler bc of what they’re seeing Israel do today.
