I think he should get one more year but I can’t blame people for wanting him gone. His direct decisions, which went against the traditional mentality, lost 1 or 2 games and were the difference between us getting in the playoffs or losing to a nobody in the Pop Tarts Bowl.
I’m not a fan of his coordinators, personally, and that’s pretty damning because he already had a redo. At the very least he needs a new DC for Year 4.
But hey, if he can pull in a monster class then maybe Mario still has some pull.
I’m not there yet but I’m getting there.
The man can recruit, I’ll give him that.
But, Miami has to out talent every team it plays because I don’t believe Mario can out coach any team.

Instead of flying the banner. Someone needs to get Kirk herbstriet to state the obvious. It seemed to get some attention last time.
If he cleans out at least Guidry and maybe some others… Will this be seen as a desperation move? (More rats bailing a sinking ship.) Or as a tough leader holding coaches accountable?

Hard to see any coach hitching his wagon to this. The “lure” of working with world class talent doesn’t seem to be working out all that often. It’s looking like UF is having a better offseason.
Billy Napier pulled chestnuts from the proverbial fire this year. It appeared Florida’s season was doomed following its egregious loss in the opener against the Canes, but Napier changed the trajectory of Gators while Mario’s season descended late season into the crapper. Napier is also making noise in recruiting. Florida is on the rise.
In Alabama, there were times when fans called for Saban’s hide when he lost games. Irrational behavior is recurrent among sports fans. We had our best season in two decades under Mario. Additionally, we’ve had stellar recruiting classes. We have a great kid coming in as a freshman QB. Our defensive line for next year should be formidable. Nobody, certainly not Guidry nor Mario, deserve to be dumped. We won ten, and I predict 9 or 10 wins next year. Time to pause our criticism and let Mario do what he does best–recruit like hell.
All in all there has still been CLEAR progress…But with his generous bank roll for NIL and recruiting…There should have been.
He can’t get out of his own way on game day…He’s just flat out stupid with regard to some obvious things and very very stubborn. But ya can’t fire him now, that’s for sure.
Has to let Guidry go though…I’ll admit I was optimistic about Guidry, and yes he was shorthanded in the secondary. But some of the portal decisions he had to be involved with including, for instance his former player Diyoni Hill, the move of Jaden Harris to safety and then sticking with him, etc
