Firing for Cause

So Tennessee fired Pruitt “for cause”…meaning they’re not going to pay the rest of his contract or a separation fee. This reminded me that Florida did this a couple years ago to McElwain. Now in both cases it seems pretty clear that the universities stupidly entered into a contract without considering the ramifications and were looking for a way to “weasel out” without upholding their end of the deal. Recall that in McElwain it was that he said he’d received death threats when he hadn’t; in Pruitt’s case recruiting violations are alleged that he is not implicated in.

Question: whatever happened ultimately with McElwain and what do you think happens with Pruitt? I can’t imagine this is a smart tack from the universities but maybe it ends up working?

Can we swap him for Baker?

I mean, it’s a fair question…

Where else do you expect a Phil Fulmer led Admin to end up …except in the trash bin. This the same Phil Fulmer of “University High” fame …or rather ,infamy.

This is the same Phil Fulmer who kept Trooper Taylor on staff. The same Trooper Taylor who could make Black Santa look like a choirboy.

Same school that didnt hire Schiano

Good Work Rocky Top

How’d that turn out?!?

Pruitt is a great defensive coach. His defenses at Alabama were the best in recent years, and Tide fans would love to see him back at Bama.

He’d be great at the U, but I don’t think we can afford him.
