We’ll see. I hope Andy makes a roster.
I’m so sick of the Sanders drama! ESPN spent the ENTIRE first round night and most of the second day talking about Sanders. Why? What did he really do?
He’s a product of his loud mouth father and in the interviews that I have seen of him he’s just like his dad. This isn’t about race, let’s not even go there, this is about teams NOT wanting a diva/drama queen and having to deal with Deion.
What has been consistent are the reports of his attitude. Listen, his dad is “prim time”, right? Who do you think he is going to listen to? The coach? or his dad? Wherever he goes the HC will have to deal with daddy being in his son’s ear.
Sanders was not a first round talent. Sorry, Mel Kiper!! When you draft a player out of college you are drafting an employee. I would not want the attitude. I’m hiring team guys (and gals).
At the end of the day, if Sanders can learn some humility and if he puts the work in and works hard then good for him. There are plenty of QB’s who were far more talented than Sanders who didn’t cut it in the NFL. I just don’t see the talent being there to be a starter.
Agree on this and all other things you said. As far as Cam Ward, the reality is we have to accept that he was developed at either Incarnate Word or Washington State. Just the facts! Should we thank them? Hey, who is the last QB we can say we developed?
I always bitch when Brian Hartline comes into S. Florida and steals our best WR every year but look what OSU is puttin’ into the league every year. Remember when we used to do that? Jeremiah Smith ain’t from Columbus or anywhere near Ohio but there ain’t much we can say about it either.
Good a place as any to post this. So, supposedly, Quinn Ewers drop has something to do with this.
“[Teams] thought he was a third- or fourth-round pick, but too big of a name to be a clipboard holder,” his agent found out when asking around the league.
I don’t think Ewers was some huge prick. Probably the BMOC like anyone in his shoes. Who wouldn’t get a puffed up head. Gave me pause because, uhh, wasn’t it the point that a newly drafted QB (regardless of position in the draft) was supposed to start off as a clipboard holder? Crazy world. But these players are getting starter money and media eyeballs and every grandmother out there second guessing the coach. Even if to the ultimate detriment of the player. And by extension the team.
Another in an endless stream of “you kids get off my lawn” sort of posts.
If they’d stop fucking around with the rules, and the baseball itself, MLB would probably return to my #1 sport. Uhh, I liked 3-2 games. Bunting, stolen bases, Nettles winning the 1976 AL home run championship with 32 dingers. Stepping back, these days I get most psyched to watch UConn women’s hoops. Intelligent team play. Defense. PASSING. I am happy their drought finally ended. Plus, hey, my wife will watch with me.
