Faulty Player Development--Brashard Smith

Lashley apparently was impressed by Brashard Smith who sort to speak slipped through the cracks at Miami. I think both Skeeter and myself recognized Smith’s speed, elusiveness and hands. It was Lashley however that plugged Smith in as a RB, and Smith rushed for over 1,300 yards for the Mustangs of SMU. Presently, it is predicted that Smith will join Pacheco and Hunt as KC Chief RBs.

Why didn’t we recognize Smith’s ability? Now, I find myself wondering how Chris Johnson will do under Lashley. Johnson has blazing speed, perhaps not enough twitch; he never stood out at Miami. When Johnson was at Dilliard, he proved to be a very able receiver. Do you suppose Lashley will use Johnson like Saban used Henry Ruggs–send like rocket strait off the line of scrimmage and dare defensive backs to keep up with him. No LB can run with Chris Johnson.

We’ll see this upcoming season whether we blew it with Chris Johnson as we did with Brashard Smith

Bikki you brought this up before

It has been said a couple of times now that Brashard Smith refused to play running back while at UM

Fwiw

Also. We had a top 2-3 offense in the country last year. If anything i wish this goof would have played corner

His bigger problem at UM was he did not want to stop smoking weed in public. I am a huge smith fan. He is mire to blame.
