Fauci should have been fired by Trump a year ago. It’s one of Trump’s biggest mistakes. He’s gotten just about everything wrong with this virus from the masks to the spread to the vaccine effectiveness. The message to the public has been awful. All he cares about now is showing his face on left wing media and acting like a celebrity. Total clown.

If I’m not mistaken I don’t believe Trump had the ability to fire him. Only the head of the NIH could. Trump had Fauci replaced on his COVID task force obviously.

Who cares about whether they new how AIDS was spread early on? I think a lot of people cared back then - considering a lot of otherwise healthy people just started getting sick and dying.

I think the NIH Director is appointed by Congress but I could be wrong. Someone fact check me.
Checked- the President appoints, the Senate confirms but there is a law in place that restricts the president from firing him without just cause.
