I’m not a part of any organization. I was a member of my fraternity alumni board, but when a student got accused of raping a girl and the school, police and fraternity wanted to defend the guy, I split and resigned. Outside of that, I’m not a member of anything. But, I did quit when that shit happened. When I a student in the fraternity and VP, a guy was accused of it and we kicked him out that week.
See how that works? It’s not difficult. You, however, just defend, defend, defend…
I’m not Catholic. Even if I were, I wouldn’t defend the actions of those priests and cardinals who committed those abhorrent acts. The acts were bad, but the cover-up was worse. Ironic that people try to hide things from man, who cannot punish us eternally, but have no issue doing things in front of, and sometimes, in the name of the Almighty.
We’ll never be on the same page on this so it’s a pointless discussion.
I’ll just leave it that Catholics who abhor the abuse and the corruption stick with the Church because we believe it is more than just the men and women who are in the Church.
If you don’t believe in God or Jesus Christ then this discussion means nothing to you and there really isn’t anything else to say.
