I got the flu shot once, in 2018.

Ok. Good for you. Quick lesson on most vaccines - based on the illness, efficacy may wane. Viruses mutate - requiring a different version of the vaccine.
Vaccines have been around for decades and this is pretty normal.
The flu vaccine changes annually based on most prevalent strain.
With COVID - apparently - the vaccine can weaken over time and/or stronger strains may require more antibodies.
You don’t rail year in and year out about the flu vaccine, so why are your panties in a bunch over COVID boosters?
