i think the point is that the ‘radical’ left’s worldview is becoming mainstream, acceptable, and is basically now the status quo for those in power. this is obviously not the case with the ‘radical’ right.

If I’m reading between the lines correctly on what you are implying, then this is what I “assume” you are trying to say (yes, I’m an ass):
The conservative shift to Right Wing Authoritarianism has been rejected and batted down so far. That I can wholeheartedly agree with. However, I believe it is only in its infancy. I think RWA is just getting started and will be a force to fight over the next century. I actually believe it will win, unfortunately.
Edit: in the USA. Obv Russia is sliding RWA to totalitarianism, China already in totalitarianism.
