He said you can convince these kids to play DB because there is such a need and that is where they money is. Makes sense and I would put Curtis there and move Restrepo there. Do you want the ball 3-4 times a game or do you want to play a lot more on defense? Thoughts?
I’m fine with moving some guys over. D$ also analyzed the highest drafted LBs over the past few years, and there were a lot of former offensive playmakers. So it’s not just DBs.
But you also need guys like Jaquan Johnson, Bandy and Couch who have been playing D their whole childhood and developed that sixth sense. Gotta have a mix and gotta have depth. Our problem is that we aren’t recruiting well at all, so when kids like Bethel don’t succeed in moving over, we are too thin.
When was the last time we moved a kid from O to D or D to O? Sam Shields?
X should move to CB. He isn’t getting much PT at slot.
We don’t have enough RBs to move one to LB.
