I’ve said it before…the immorality, the hypocrisy, even the silliness is the feature to them. It has absolutely zero to do with policy in any way.
The most profound thing was written in a Sarah Palin article about Trump in 2015 by a follower of hers: “I love him, because you hate him.”
That’s really 100% of all of it. Through Trump, the most sacred of cows of the GOP have been outcast. Things like free trade aren’t even mentioned anymore, the exact opposite being proposed as policy. Trump is the weakest of Presidents we’ve ever seen. Did you see how many times he publicly said we should appease Russia during the debate because they had nukes?
Could you imagine Reagan crying to the American public about how he was scared of Russia because they had nukes?
Could you imagine Reagan surrendering to the Taliban and inviting a terrorist organization to Camp David to surrender? The Trumpkins, like with everything else, aren’t bothered by absolutely anything about it.
All of the things you think would be reasons to lose faith in him, failures on his part, lies he’s told, losses that have stacked up, points that contradict even the basic definitions of major parts of his legislation initiatives (though there are only about 2) are all just more fuel for them. The worse it is, the more momentum they give him. They know he lost. Not a single one of them believes he won in 2020, not one. He’s the pied piper of immorality, of lies, or hypocrisy and he gathers the worst in humanity.
