Dems worry about Harris blowing it

Polling shows that Harris is losing support among men, black voters, and Hispanic voters, while former President Donald Trump is running ahead of his 2020 and 2016 performances. Swing state polling indicates Trump is either leading Harris or within the margin of error. Voter registrations and early voting also appear to benefit Trump in many states.

“Kamala needs all day to prep for Charlamagne?” pollster Patrick Ruffini questioned on X:

Kamala cannot think on her feet. When she speaks extemporaneously, her rhetoric is often incomprehensible, often described as being word salad. Can you imagine how that will play out talking with leaders of foreign nations. How will translators deal with word salad?

At the same time though Bikki…Trump hashes up a mean word salad himself.

Been saying it for a long while…I have seen this in my own dealings with some black friends and acquaintances…Who knows? My city, while liberal…Isn’t like a liberal hub like Chicago or NYC. People everywhere just seem to be sick of such a pro lbgtv agenda (along with gender blending/pronoun garbage and don’t want their kids anywhere near that shit) a wild border, the prices at the gas pump, not requiring voter id, etc…Many blacks also don’t like being considered a victim and just want to be left alone by government and joke about it quite a bit. This is before we even get into the fact that some of them are Christian. What I just said is not meant to ignore Trump’s shortcomings. I (and they) don’t think we have all the answers. Obviously there are a large women on the other hand, regardless of color, that are voting on one issue…And that hurts GOP.

But I was surprised by how many have spoken their support of Trump to me…or when I was simply near by the convo that has taken place.

I think Trump will have a definite increase in black male support, that is all I can say. An increase. No idea how big or enough to overcome women.

I can’t count how many times I hear during a week…Males of all colors (and some women as well, but guys at my poker games or guys I golf with for instance)…When someone makes a comment about sexes or younger generation sex type question with “you never today with all this bullshit they are pushing out here”…And I think maybe they will vote against that, along with their pockets (Regardless if they are correct that Trump can bring some prices down)

Good posts, skeeter. I agree a lot of that Dem agenda really hurt them. I was pleasantly surprised that Biden distanced himself from it a little, trending more moderate than leftist progressive. Harris will most likely counter that trend, we all know, so I think some of those issues come into play again. Harris is lucky (and Trump unlucky) about the overturning of Roe because it gives her a platform to focus on that a lot of people care about. And I do think that Trump has done all right with black men considering, so really everything is up in the air. Hell, he just opened a campaign office for the Muslim population of Pennsylvania. He’s trying to get them too.

Finally this mfer sticks to a script…. Way overdue.

“Party of common sense” is good direct messaging and, honestly, one of the better things Trump can say that doesn’t focus on how batshit he is at times. The trans issue has outsize influence on swaying people so Pubs are totally gonna hammer at it. Trump is most effective when he keeps things simple and doesn’t go into the conspiracy nonsense.

Yes…I’ve been begging for statements/responses like this for 5 years from this goof…Drives me crazy. This should hit home, and also at least combats some of the cognitive decline stance you refer to in the other thread. He was calm, concise, and well-spoken here.
