Just curious as to what you guys take is on him? I ask because I watched Corey Flagg’s post practice presser as well as Gaynor’s and neither of them look like they’ve lifted a weight all offseason, especially Flagg!
Idk, maybe I’m just looking for something to complain about anxious for improvement. As long as the players are actually getting stronger as opposed to a bunch of ripped up pansies I’ll hold off on my criticism.

Of one thing I’ll assure you, when Bama plays us, their players will be chiseled. They have a great weight program and the competition for playing time is rife. Damn, I’d love us to play them close, but I cannot get the NC State game out of my mind when they rushed the ball through us like Swiss cheese. I can’t think of a more depressing game, and I’ve been watching the Hurricanes for more than 50 years.

I have seen some depressing Miami games over the almost 40 years I have been following Hurricanes football… but man, that 2007 game (also against NC State) was probably the low point for me.
Kirby Freeman… 1-14, 84 yards. And he was not the only futile one… on either side of the field. One of the worst football games I have had the misfortune of watching.
Yes, I think last year’s NC State was the worst. I think NC State set a record for rushing yards. The most basic rule of defense is stop the rush. I hope this game does not haunt us this coming season inasmuch as our opposition certainly will have scouted our performance.

What did you want to see in 2 months? The strength gains are made in late spring and summer. Some guys never gain the weight needed and are passed on the depth chart.

i criticized the Feely hire immediately once i saw the circumstances under which it was made. Diaz barely met the guy in the short time he was Temple HC and gave him the job without doing an actual search. Diaz has shown a tendency to get first hires wrong (Enos, Baker) and I suspect this is another one of those situations.
we need to find a real strength coach.
