Is Warden like this in real life or is it an act on here?
I’m leaning towards the latter. I’m 50/50 on this one.

I have no doubt in my mind that Warden is most likely a fun and relatively normal person in person.
This is his way of getting the dark spirits out of him.

In real life, I’m quiet, corny and TRY not to share my opinions anymore…unless it just spills over once or twice a year. I appreciate Dad jokes, a good edge on a lawn, and a new fishing rod. I call EVERYONE sir or ma’am, a miss here and there so I don’t make young women feel old and I’ll help you bring your groceries inside or bag up your grass. I’m not an exciting or confrontation person at all and I enjoy it that way.
I’ve known Warden for what, almost 30 years? Fuck, we are old. There’s a group of us, fraternity brothers, that chat just about every day over a group text. He’s a good dude and a great friend. A brother even. I’d trust him with my life, and we all know we’d be there for each other if needed. We’ve been drunk together too many times to count. Done numerous drugs together in college and have tons of crazy ass stories from all the wacky shit we have done.
GSC hit the nail on the head. The one thing that will get Warden riled up is politics. None of us really discuss politics at all. This is his outlet. He’s actually more middle ground than anything in real life.

The GOP, right now, is the party who wears tampons on their ear when Trump gets nicked and gun pins on their lapel when kids get shot in the face. They are the party who discounts basic science, basic history, and supports the guy who wanted to nuke a hurricane, for real. They overtly want Christian nationalism, have a House Speaker who said each woman should be required to provide at least 1 laborer to the country via their cooch, and again…thinks a 10 yr old should not get free lunch at school but instead should be forced to have their rapist’s baby. They think corporations are people with all the rights of people, but no accountability whatsoever. They tried to scrap the CFPB from its beginning for things like its requiring investment advisors to take into consideration their client’s interest rather than selling them bullshit schemes for their own commissions.
Fact is, nobody in the Democratic party is trying to take your guns. The right claims this shit all the time, but only basic background checks and shit are being put into legislation.

I’ve regularly seen people talk about how to better use the funds rather than a big fucking wall 1800 miles long that a $12 ladder can beat. We had a bipartisan bill that was a wish list for conservatives but Trump didn’t like its optics during his election.

In general, the GOP hasn’t put forth a bill that put labor over the corporation for as long as I can look up. I’m starting to think its never happened. I favor labor over corporate interests, in general. When the middle and lower class have a larger share, the economy does better. Pretty simple math. Since Reagan’s trickle down bs, America’s 1% has taken $50 trillion from the bottom 90%. I have always been a liberal, a liberal in the classical sense. I was a Kennedy liberal. I voted for Hubert Humphrey. What has transpired is the left has become a bunch of Marxist, and I lived in the Soviet Union long enough to experience the tyranny of one party rule in perpetuity. For me, individual liberty is my most important concern. I don’t believe in censorship, though I admit to tiring sometimes of idiotic ranting. I like small town living where people are kind and helpful to one another. Needless to say, I am not a leftist, a liberal but not a leftist. I am a tolerant person, but intolerant to what is intolerable. Philosophically, I favor ethical universals which by the way are conspicuously missing from Islam which is intrinsically radical and not amenable to change.
I don’t dislike Warden despite disagreeing with him vociferously. In reality, I’d not drown him in the bayou despite holding him under water for a prudent amount of time would do us both a world of good. Warden is a good poster and raises hell in this forum. Otherwise, we’d be overcome by boredom. I think Warden has a good heart, and sometimes pours out personal feelings that I find poignant which also validate my assessment of him.
Utopian society may well be totally illusory and out of reach for humanity. It is not inconceivable that humans will destroy themselves, leaving the planet to evolve more naturally. And, what gift will humans have gifted to the universe when they are gone? In all the history of humanity, humans have created only one thing that will endure for all times. I know what it is. What do you think it might be?
