We in the United States have experienced but a small taste of the economic peril created by the war in Ukraine. As the chief proponent of continuing the War, the U.S. will be complicit in producing a Western European depression wherein Europeans will be subjected to third world conditions. So grave is the situation that food shortages will be rampant. Basic commodities to sustain normal existence will be unavailable. Winter will ravage European nations and the lack of heat will bring about suffering to Europe that once was unimaginable.
Recently, one poster, obviously severely misinformed, declared that things were just fine in Europe. They are not. Not only are thing rapidly deteriorating as I described above, The continent is now closer to the brink of nuclear war than ever before. To get an even nebulous idea of the future of Germany, the economic powerhouse of Europe, I point you to this article appearing in Der Spiegel:
Ironically, the entire Ukraine mess lies at the feet of Joe Biden and a State Department filled with Russia haters and war mongers. To this end, Biden’s idiocy is even greater than his open borders immigration fiasco. IMO, the sabotage to the Nord Stream pipeline was an act of Western terrorism. It occurred to bring Germany back into NATO compliance since the German support of the war in Ukraine was wilting.
If you listened to Putin speech, he declared that Russia would separate from Europe and become part of a Russo-Asian economic pact. Furthermore, he announced that on October 4, the Duma will approve the annexation of four new Russian oblasts formerly part of Ukraine. As parts of Russia, they will be defended as part of the motherland.
Ukraine will now be subjected to the full force of the Red Army protecting the motherland which they have not seen before, and Putin has not ruled out using nuclear weapons should provocation from the West necessitate their use. It will no longer be a conflict pitting Ukraine against Donbas militias. Ukraine may well cease to exist as a nation.
Andrei Martyanov is an authority on warfare. Born in Russia, he served in the Russian Navy and has written numerous books on the decline of American military power compared to the rising power of Russia’s military. Martynyanov moreover predicts a shift in world political and economic power and a lessening of same in the West, particularly in Europe. Andrei is somewhat hard to understand, but is quite an erudite pundit.
The solution to Ukraine is to make peace. Russia has refused to be threatened by a Ukrainian NATO military threat. Ukraine is nation of utter corruption commanded by oligarchs and Nazi militias. The equilibrium of the continent must be restored through peace settlement ensuring the security of Russia. The hatred of Russia must be dissipated. Ukraine must be completely disarmed in keeping with the Minsk Treaty, and making peace in Europe should be the primary objective of all the continent’s nations. Protracting this conflict is insanity.
What is ironic about the entire mess is that it needn’t have happened but for a successful election swindle having occurred in America. There would have been no war under a Trump government. Trump despaired at the idea of the U.S. being a world policeman. Trump has even offered to be a mediator to end the conflict. Trump started no wars during his term in office. Indeed, elections, even rotten ones, certainly have their consequences.
