Let’s see who falls this year :smirk:

Manny is too low on this list!

#1 just got canned. .657 winning percentage over 7 years. Some will pick him up especially since he is 49.

Manny would need 2-3 more victories to date to be at .657. Tough when you drop games to LaTech, GT, Duke, FIU. ha

Manny has cracked the top 25. Should be higher!

Much higher

I’d say top 5 right now. Go 4-2 and the heat drops. Go 2-4 and I doubt he is still employed.

What I don’t undestand about that list…

How the heck do Lincoln Riley and Luke Fickell have greater job security than Nick Saban??

Agree. Saban is safe until he doesn’t want to coach anymore. I can’t see him coaching too many more years which may be why.

Riley- I can see him jumping for an NFL job. OU is a tough job IMO.
Fickell- his seat will warm up if he drops a game or two. I can’t see him sticking around Cinni too long as he will be offered other jobs soon.

Well … unlike the team, at least Manny is ranked in the Top 25.

It’s funny that many of the supposedly “hot coaches” in recent years are in the Top 10; Frost, Harbaugh, et al.

I suppose you could say Miami is due for a good hire after all the bad hires they have made. Richt was probably the best hire since Davis. He got UM to #2 late in 2017 with Rosier as QB which is saying something. He would be gone by now due to health reasons (heart attack and Parkinson’s) even if he hadn’t abruptly retired. UGA fired him in a year the team won 10 games. But, he couldn’t beat Saban … and so far either has Smart. UM never should have agreed to let him make his son an assistant coach. Not sure it would have mattered but the team would have been better off with a proven OC/QB Coach.

I doubt any of the “top coaches” would even be interested in the job. And if they fire Manny, they sure as hell better fire James, too.

Diaz is in the top 10. May his seat forever be warm.

Texas Tech just axed their guy

Hired and fired after only 30 games by the same man, Kirby Hocutt, who hired Al Golden at Miami.

Wells lost his starting QB early this season, lost the last game by only one point. Sound familiar?

Was 5-3 this season.

Hocutt also hired and fired the previous coach, Kliff Kingsbury.

How does Hocutt still have a job?

They never should have fired Leach (at the end of 2009)

In the Top 5 of the hot list, I see 3 or 4 coaches that people on this board wanted Miami to hire.

There’s only 2 can’t miss coaches in CFB-Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.
Everyone else is a crapshoot.

Fisher if his head is straight is a pretty good coach. Riley is a younger guy but I think he has a really good chance at being in that can’t miss group.

I also think everyone shouldn’t be looking at who can win us another championship vs who can win us the ACC! If we win the ACC, we likely make the CFP. Heck, find me a coach that can win the coastal annually and I like our chances of winning the ACC everyone couple of years.

Gary Patterson is out at TCU

our program would’ve been in a much different place right now had we hired Patterson as we should’ve back 2006 instead of shannon.

Odds on harbaugh being out this year ?

If he loses to OSU again, there will be a lot of noise to ditch him even if Michigan finishes in the Top 20.
His record against Michigan State and OSU is terrible. That’s death in Ann Arbor.

Not sure what his buyout is though.

My guess is Manny survives another year unless he loses out.

And Miami is a couple of injuries away from starting 4th stringers at QB and RB. Not good.

IF HE WINS OUT DON’T BE SURPRISED IF HE GETS AN EXTENSION…

Dan Mullen’s Seat is on fire!
