The recent leftist antipathy towards Israel, even outright hatred of Israel does not surprise me at all, since leftists fail to perceive the world realistically, and are imbued with a suicidal sense of empathy for those and their entities who are by no measure deserving of the same. For two decades on the message board I have, at times fiercely, warned my brethren that Islam is arguably the greatest threat posed against Western Civilization in which human rights, justice, and liberty have evolved to their highest ethical level in the history of humanity. I am convinced the left hates America. Otherwise, why would any sane person champion the rights o of Palestinians over those of Israelis. Why would anyone be more concerned with rights of illegals over those of citizens? In the war in the Middle East, leftists want nothing more than the great Presdient Trump to fail; they’re rooting for the friggin Iranians, so deep is their hatred of Trump. VDH stands out today as one of the clearest thinkers on the subject of global affairs, and in the attached article VDH very clearly explains the logical, existential behavior exhibited by Israel.
You claim to be defending Western Civilization but you cheer for Putin every chance you get. This is a guy who invaded a sovereign European democracy, who funds far-right parties across Europe specifically to tear liberal democratic institutions apart, and whose own people have explicitly called his project a war against the liberal West. You can’t hold both positions. What you’re doing is piggybacking on the accomplishments of Western Civilization while championing its most dangerous current enemy. Because here’s the thing, you don’t actually believe in what Western Civilization is: Rule of law, Free press, Democratic governance, Separation of powers. You don’t defend any of these foundations; you just like the color of the people who built it and want to take credit for what they made while helping burn it down.
And here’s a history lesson I’m guessing you missed: the only person in the entire Bible explicitly called God’s Anointed, the Hebrew word mashiach, isn’t David, isn’t Solomon…it’s Cyrus the Great of Persia. As the Persian King, he freed the Jews from Babylon, funded the rebuilding of the Temple out of his own treasury, and produced the Cyrus Cylinder, one of the oldest human rights documents ever found. The people you’re currently rooting against are the historical descendants of the man your own scripture calls God’s instrument. Chew on that for a minute.
You say the left hates America. Okay…so what is America, exactly? The 5th Amendment says no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process…not citizen, person. The 14th Amendment guarantees equal protection to any person within its jurisdiction. When the left defends the legal rights of immigrants and asylum seekers, we’re literally just following what the document says. When your side deports legal residents without hearings and tells federal courts to go pound sand, that’s not patriotism…that’s contempt for the rule of law. You’re describing yourself, not us.
And while we’re at it, who’s actually dismantling the country right now? The judiciary is under attack. The press is under attack. A president is openly defying court orders. None of that is opinion, it’s all on the record. You clearly love America’s symbols. But the flag and the Constitution are not the same thing, and the people you’re riding for are torching one while waving the other.
Bottom line is you don’t support Western Civilization. You just like the look of it and want the credit. The actual values it was built on? You work against those every single day.
