What a disgrace our new President is. To allow our 2 most dangerous geopolitical adversaries to lead on an issue like Iran is insane… particularly when Trump had the inside track on this. What a disaster.
I can see a new triumvirate growing from this. A new axis of evil emerging. This is not good.

The involved countries are discussing the deal, or what’s left of it. Why would the US be involved after the US pulled out of the deal?
So what? China is butthurt about US sanctions on Iran. Are you guys on China’s side now?
Not only that, why go to a discussion when Iran has stated upfront that they won’t discuss a thing unless the US agrees to immediately remove all sanctions? Are you guys on Iran’s side now too?

China and Russia didn’t interfere one bit when a real leader sat in the office because they were warned.
Our pull out was in order to isolate Iran. And it was working.

What does this mean? China and Russia are members of the JCPOA. When the US pulled out, China and Russia both remained members, both said they would continue honoring it, and both have repeatedly urged the US to re-enter the deal (under Trump and Biden presidencies).
So what do you mean by interfere? China and Russia have never stopped interfering.
305- go look at the timeline. We, the United States were always the leader at the table.
When we pulled out, some protested but it was clear they respected our position because no one rushed in to fill the space. Not the EU or member states or Russia or China.
In fact, in 2020, the US laxed sanctions in order to allow Russia, China, and Iran to work on “ cooperative non-proliferation projects.”
Since we backed out, there was one meeting between Tehran and Moscow and it didn’t really result in much.

What do you mean by “respected our position?” Members were critical of our pullout, and critical of our sanctions. We were asked to drop the sanction during and after Trump, and we were asked to resume in the JCPOA during and after Trump.
When you say “rushed to fill in the space” what do you mean? The other members, including Russia, China, and EU countries all remained in the deal and continued to work with Iran.
I’m curious… What did the current meeting result in that is so heinous compared to that last meeting?
What is your reasoning for claiming Russia and China are “leading” the discussions, versus other EU members for example?
