Warden- I’ll make a bet with you that if you went back and researched, the vast majority of the time you became personal and toxic first which then led me, and I am admittedly a hot blooded person who will retaliate, to respond in kind.
I’ve made huge strides over the past year to eliminate toxicity from my life. That includes this board. And while I’m not perfect and I certainly do get animated at times still, I think it’s obvious that I’ve tried to keep most of my recent conversations sober and civil.
I have no problem debating or discussing anything. I’m just not going to do it if it means calling each other poopy heads. I have a a few years left in this world and I am actively choosing to spend them in the most positive way possible.
I don’t think that’s an unreasonable request.
And as for the your storm comment. I’ll admit that I’ve advocated for storm. I’m a free speech absolutist. But even I have limits. His behavior has become unbearable. He’s creating a wasp’s nest of this board and he needs to stop too.
Here’s my TLDR: everyone, INCLUDING ME, needs to start behaving more like adults than juveniles. It’s starting to become so toxic that posters who would never comment on this shit are getting very annoyed. And I completely understand why.
I appreciate all information and discussion but as Pinellas used to always say- what you say and how you say it are equally important.
I’m not defending storm. He needs to stop responding to everything and he needs to stop crowding the board. I’ve said it. He knows I’ve said it.
I don’t understand why everytime I want to discuss Warden you bring up Storm.
I’m calling for both, for everyone, to be more mature. Have your discussions. Do it in a way that doesn’t make others want to ban you or leave the board.
You asked point blank why we instigate and chase Storm. I mentioned this in reply. He said I was lying, I posted the proof. That’s all that was, not a “gotcha” to you.
I appreciate your position. And yes, everybody, even bikki, has told Storm to knock it off.
For the record, I do agree with you that Warden can get a bit too hot sometimes. I enjoy his political fact checking because he’s good at it and he puts in the work. The constant name-calling there could be less of. With Storm it’s difficult because he’s not reasonable. I do think you’re much more reasonable. I can understand his frustration with your persistence in what I think are losing positions, but I don’t see the need for so much vitriol aimed at you for it.

With you, it’s always someone else’s fault. You criticized people for calling people names, then i showed you where you called literally everyone on the opposing political side names and you had excuses for each one. It’s always someone else’s fault. You’re never wrong about anything, etc. The basic line is you don’t take ownership of anything at all. It’s in your nature. I’d say its your defining characteristic
Sober and civil. I’ll grant you that, in your verbiage, at least. Of course, you were justifying the assassinations of political opponents by Putin, claiming you weren’t wrong about an election fraud claim when you clearly were, and pretending what Storm was doing was in line with what everyone else was doing. So, a lot of horseshit for sure. But, you didn’t cuss. I suppose you deserve a cookie for that.
I don’t think so either. However, we do differ in perspective, obviously. You appear to take in things like cussing as the sign of toxicity while I consider things like justifying Putin or lying about being wrong as more toxic. But, I find that someone consistent with other views, like conservatives caring about the kneeling during the anthem as a sign of disrespect to the flag while I consider it the very thing the flag represents. More superficial ideas appear to be the basis for conservative thought while ignoring the deeper meanings of said emblems.
I’ll have to think about that one, but I understand your perspective, at least.
As I’ve stated, I volunteer for my account to be deleted. I stand by my convictions. If the overall board would be better served without Storm and myself, I gladly yield. Storm, however, would rather burn it down out of spite than let someone else post in front of him.
