Wish him all the best:
I always liked that guy. I hope he doesn’t experience too much pain.
I do miss his interviews especially when we beat them. He was always an aw-shucks type of guy.
I do hope he can enjoy his final days peacefully.
Good luck Bobby!
I have nothing but respect for this man. Godspeed Coach Bowden.
A few of my friends worked as equipment managers for FSU under Bobby. If he saw them walking on campus, he would honk and wave like he was seeing a hall of famer, not the other way around. I hope he goes in peace surrounded by family.
In the long run, we’re all terminal.
I’m just thankful that he didn’t recruit better FG kickers.
Well, yeah!
Bowden used to come frequently to Pensacola or Destin for meetings with touchdown clubs. I knew him through Derrick Brooks, great LB for FSU and Tampa Bay Bucks. You couldn’t help but like Bowden. Such a folksy guy, nothing scandalous about him, his charm served him well recruiting. Indeed it was Bowden who put FSU on the football maps. as a top tier team. The entire Panhandle is definitely FSU country and to a lesser extent Crimson Tide country. We had great games against FSU, and it’s still one of college football’s great rivalry games. His passing will bring sorrow to legions of his friends and former players.
