Bigotry over patriotism

Why? I never called this a war. I believe Russia when they say it’s a military operation to achieve a particular objective.

You say it’s a war.

Big surprise that Mr. Semantics wants to play with words here.

If you don’t think what everybody else calls a war is a war then just pretend we’re all saying not-war. You’ll be more content that way.

If what’s happening now isn’t a war, and what’s happening before wasn’t a war, then my point that this has been going on since 2014 still stands.

By the way, what GSC says now:

What GSC said before:

So let’s add outright lying to your resume now.

It’s like GSC doesn’t know how the internet works…

:joy::joy::joy: It’s much easier to type war than military operation or skirmish. Stop being silly. There’s a formal definition of the term war vs military operation.

We’ve gone as far as codifying it in our law.

Putin himself referred to it as a military operation.

It’s easier to type op. Try that instead of weaseling your way out of debates by lying.

“As a Christian, I open the gospel and look for the word ‘special operation’”, Orthodox priest Ioann Burdin said recently, who was fined by the court in Russia’s Kostroma region on March 6, according to Radio Free Europe. “There’s no such word. There is this word ‘war’ though. No one speaks about special operations in the bible.”

GSClown, yukkin’ it up.

I don’t get those on the right that are defending Russia here.

You can hate Biden and still call out Russia for the aggression and war crimes.

Putin is a former KGB. He’s not a good dude. Have some objectivity here.

Argue all you want about how the US is handling things but don’t be idiotic and take Russia’s side.

Thanks for the sanity, Indiana. It’s really shocking to see people in this forum:

  • Praising Russia’s military prowess
  • Dismissing the statehood of Ukraine to the point that invading them is okay
  • Spouting Kremlin talking points verbatim
  • Propping up Russia as some bastion for some reason…

Let’s get something straight. Russia is corrupt as hell. Putin came to power by bombing his own people. He’s passing laws punishing speaking out against soldiers or politicians with jail time. It’s a fascist mess over there.

Nope, they just get smoked at the front lines, sometimes by their own troops…

You have a StandWithUkraine bumper sticker don’t you? Be honest

I don’t do demonstrations. No public protests or stickers on my paint job. But I do support Ukraine.

Since you asked, what about you? Do you support Russia or do you support Ukraine? Be honest. (I was.)

Since we’re chatting, are you still denying the Russo-Ukrainian war exists?

Russo-Ukrainian War - Wikipedia

Yet no one has done this.

WE - the ones you accuse - ARE being objective.

Me watching a black guy getting strung up and hung and pretending like nothing is happening makes me guilty by association.

Putin IS our enemy and he is the ANTITHESIS of our Country, no matter what Trump has convinced your feeble mind of.

Bikki fawning over everything Putin/Russia is also a disgusting, anti-american gesture.

You guys are sick as fuck.

Thank You Indiana, Thank You.

Indiana is suddenly George Bush/John McCain/Mitt Romney.

Don’t worry Indiana- in 15 minutes from now he’ll be calling you a piece of shit fascist who deserves to be hung in the public square.

The only thing in which the West is winning in Ukraine is in the realm of propaganda. Small wonder that the advertising and entertainment capital of the world reigns superior in fomenting a message that Putin is a madman for protecting the Russian land and liberating oppressed Russians in Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk. The information fed to the West is specious and wholly inaccurate.

Were Putin like Hitler, Kiev would today be a parking lot. Russia has taken care to preserve infrastructure in Ukraine that does not affect the war. All of the major bridges in Eastern Ukraine have been destroyed. Destroying Kiev however would be the same as reducing Athens or Rome to a wasteland. Kieven Rus was the seminal beginning spot of the emerging Russian state. Other than preventing weapons shipments into Ukraine, Russia has left Western Ukraine alone. It’s interests have been correctly identified notably by 305 as controlling the Black Sea corridor and liberating the Dombass. An exception has been Mariupol where two small parts of the city center are occupied by the Azov Nazis and the Ukrainian Army numbering in the thousands of soldier, both groups taking refuge, using civilians as shields. Chechens, mostly volunteers not conscripts are performing the clean up operation going building to building extirpating their enemies. Mariupol is otherwise surrounded Mariupol stands at the north end of the Sea of Azov near the entrance to Russia’s most vital waterway–the Volga-Don which allows shipping to occur during warmer weather from the Black Sea to Moscow to the Baltic Sea. As I spent a great deal of time in Rostov on Don, I could not help but notice the incredible river traffic of barges going up and down this vital waterway.

With respect to wartime public relations, perhaps it could be called propaganda, a song has become the Anthem of Russians living in the Dombass. It is wildly popular throughout Russia for it combines the history of unconquerable Russia, its huge wartime sacrifice from Napoleon to WW!, as well as a religious sentiment. No country suffered more casualties during WW2 than Russia. War has touched nearly every Russian family, certainly the family of Putin that lived through the long siege of Leningrad where every wooden structure in the city was burned as fuel in winter, and where food was so rare that its citizens consumed the flesh of those who perished. You’ve got to give the Russians credit for this song, sung by two stunning blondes. Small wonder it has amassed incredible appeal among the Russian people and has increased their support of Putin. Bear in mind, the last war fought on American soil was our Civil War. Not the same for Russia. Here is the song or anthem rallying the Russian people to which I refer:

LMAO bikki’s posting Russian Christian pop-rock propaganda now. He’s all in.

That song is echoing across all of Russia, and is Putin’s best friend.

I thought that was you.
