Making Russia an enemy is the dumbest thing Western nations have done in the last quarter-century, other than screwing the man who could have prevented it out of an election victory.
Giving Ukraine long-range missiles that depend on U.S. satellites for targeting is another idiocy that could provoke an extreme response by Russia and frustrate a Trump peacemaking initiative.
So what did the U.S. and NATO achieve in this war? Why in the world would we supply Ukraine with $200 billion dollars to fight a war that it was doomed to lose from the beginning?
You can blame both Obama and Biden for this fiasco. It would never have occurred under a Trump presidency, and Trump will keep his promise to end it.
Trump has brought sanity back to a confused nation. Trump has restored democracy in America.
Do you personally think North Korean troops entering a European war does not deserve a response? Do you not believe that was an escalation by Russia?
The West welcomed Russia with open arms. The US helped negotiate Ukraine’s nuclear weapons being disarmed and handed over to Russia. Tons of corporations and business knowledge moved in the country. Specialists helped work in Russian manufacturing. Europe went all in buying energy from them. Huge investments in the energy sector were ongoing…
Right until Russia invaded Ukraine.
Who fucked who over here?
Acting like the West betrayed Russia is a joke.
Ukraine is still a sovereign, independent state. Which obviously means nothing to you, but there it is.
Because it was the deal of a century. All our armor and ordnance, which was designed and built for the sole purpose of countering Russia, is FINALLY getting a use. And it’s at bargain basement prices. Russian might is being dismantled before our eyes.
There is a reason they are importing ammunition and troops from North Korea…
By giving a sovereign nation a fighting chance against a fascist regime trying to take their territory?
Yeah, by design for sure.
Are you retarded? They’re already there.
We did, years ago…they invaded a sovereign country anyway. This was the 8th time Putin has invaded a sovereign country. Also, WE didn’t attack. WE provided weaponry.
Have YOU always been a traitor to this country or just recently?
In fact, this is kind of savvy by the Biden admin. He basically has 2 free months to meet the escalation of North Koreans. He can clear missiles and Putin can’t really do much in response about it because the next admin will be coming in soon.
It’s a good move that will only last 2 months, Don’t forget that Biden just handed Trump additional leverage. Trump can either stop the missiles in return for something, or he can stop them immediately as a show of good faith.
Trump is actually empowered with this move. And it’s by design.
Because that’s how escalation works. “Don’t escalate or I will in kind.”
“Why didnt Russia try to diplomatically solve this before attacking?”
War is diplomacy by other means. The time for diplomacy is over. But of course almost all wars end with diplomacy as well. When Russia and Ukraine are ready to come to the table, diplomacy will be there.
What a great Biden idea. Allow Ukraine to pummel Russia with long-range missiles, which will provoke a Russian in kind response. What could be better than to kill and maim more Russians and Ukrainians during the two month interstitial period preceding Trump taking over and putting an end to hot warfare. Robert Gates was right in his assessment of Biden invariably having poor judgment regarding foreign policy during his entire forty year political career.
Being that your allegiance is to Russia and not the United States, anything you are against we should endorse and vice versa. Also, anything that results in more dead Russians is a good thing.
Traitor.
But, back to Gates…who was the director to the CIA in 1991 to serve his loyalty for having been so directly involved in the Iran-Contra Affair, wrote extensively about the evil of Putin and Russia after the illegal invasion of Crimea in 2014. Ironically, Gates thinks Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy issue over the last 40 years while himself being at the center of Iran Contra, failing to accurately gauge the decline of the Soviet Union, concocting evidence right beforehand showing the USSR stronger than it actually was, as he was helping to sell Reagan on the defense buildup. I can’t say he was always wrong though, he despised Netanyahu’s government.
I don’t think anyone is arguing against the savviness of it? It’s just a question of where that savviness is directed…Who’s the bad guy Trump or Russia?
Don’t forget that Biden just handed Trump additional leverage. Trump can either stop the missiles in return for something, or he can stop them immediately as a show of good faith.
Trump is actually empowered with this move.
OK that’s different perspective that I would at least consider.
That there is a war in Ukraine is due to the Obama CIA interference in toppling the Ukraine government. Adding to this are the repeated violation by Ukraine of the Minsk Agreement. Then, we have the influence of the neocons in the State Department urging Zelensky to put down rebellion in the Donbas, whose people were terrorized by Ukrainian Nazis. No way there would have been war had Trump not been swindled out of re-election.
I take the side of Russia, because the best future of Western Civilization rests with making Russia, which has traditionally regarded itself as a European country, a partner against China, which in case most of you don’t know it, is our chief world antagonist.
Weird how you claim Putin is your hero in one breath and then criticize his decision in another…
Sure and the poisoning of a Ukrainian president was due to the Putin FSB involvement.
There is no question that both countries were fighting for the hearts and souls of Ukrainians. Do you have a point somewhere?
There was already war during Trump’s entire term. The Donbas required active Russian soldiers to keep the “Revolution” alive. Strange how Trump, the grand peacemaker, failed to make a peace?
This has been exceedingly clear as of a few years ago.
Thing you fail to see is that Russia will NEVER be a partner against China with the West. That is like Mexico partnering with Asia against the United States.
Russia is a has-been Chinese vassal. Maybe a bit of an exaggeration now, but we’re getting there.
China absolutely IS our main antagonist, and it is in their interest to attack the Western world order. That means supporting Russia, Iran, and North Korea’s destabilization efforts. Full stop.
