Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Bring Da Ruckus - Wu Tang Clan
Personality Crisis - New York Dolls
Five Years - Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - best album ever made)
Straight Outta Compton - NWA
Welcome to the Jungle - GNR
Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones
Smells like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
We Will Rock You - Queen
What’s Going On - Marvin Gaye
Great fucking call on 1st two. Although on Black Sabbath in my opinion N.I.B.is the best track…That Track 1 is an such a dark, accurate opening track for them.
Some other good calls in there as well. Love Gimme shelter as well.
Nas: Illmatic, NY State of Mind (technically a track 2, but the intro is really good too)
Good call on NAS. He’s for sure one of my favorite - One Mic I think is a perfect song
Ha…I’m not a big “one mic” fan. Just ok to me. Can’t knock it though.
But ya Nas is a beast…Really questionable beat selection and lot of fast forward materials in middle and later albums but still the man.
I know nothing about contemporary music. I like old country music, classical period symphonic, ballet and opera. In trivia, I fall short in my knowledge of television which I didn’t watch or even own one for forty years and contemporary music from the seventies forward.
My man, the 1960s aren’t “contemporary.” You, however, are the only person I’ve ever met who likes opera outside of a lesbo who looked like the Penguin and was the only person I’ve ever enjoyed firing. Worst human I’ve ever met.
Head Like a Hole - Nine Inch Nails
Stop - Jane’s Addiction
Hey Man Nice Shot - Filter
And maybe an honorable mention:
Red Flags and Long Nights - She Wants Revenge
Speak to Me / Breath / On The Run / Time / The great gig in the sky /money / us and them / any colour you like / brain damage / eclipse - Dark side of the moon - pink floyd (the for real greatest album of all time and it isn’t even close). I mean I don’t even know where stop track 1, the whole album is 1 track…
