I don’t think anybody loves Putin. I think that reasonable people can understand Putin and his actions.
When NATO was formed they promised not to go further than a certain point. Since then they have. Putin sees Ukraine as his backyard and now they are on the back porch.
It would be like Russia or China putting a military alliance in Mexico and Canada or the Bahamas or the Caribbean and little by little creeping up to our border.
As an American I don’t mind it, but I can understand how a Russian particularly the Russian leader would want to repel that advance. So I don’t think anyone loves Putin we just understand the situation.
In your last post, you mentioned Orban of Turkey. Orban is the President of Hungary.
Our constitutional form of government is threatened by the left not by the right. Which party wants to suppress free expression and engages in censorship? Which party wants to erode the power of the Supreme Court or wants to expand the number of justices to obtain a majority? Which party is trying to turn internal revenue into a punitive organization by expanding its ranks by 87,000 employees? Which party champions affirmative action which erodes the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment? Which party attempts to interpose the UN into domestic relations? Which party tries to frustrate voter I.D. and supports non-citizen voting rights? Which party has weaponized both the FBI and CIA? Which party racially demeans persons of European ascendancy?
Small wonder that a Red Wave is imminent in the mid-term elections?
The GOP. See DeSantis and Disney, Kemp vs MLB, and all the GOPers stopping teachers from teaching. Oh yeah, even Rick Scott banned the words Climate Change during his administration. Next.
The Supreme Court’s integrity was demolished when the GOP refused to seat a nominated judge or even entertain the idea for an entire year.
You phrased that incorrectly - “Which party is trying to provide the IRS with proper funding and personnel to do its assigned job?” It’s always so comical to read conservatives talking about law and order and backing the blue. They don’t. They never have. They want to defund any law enforcement that deals with THEIR criminality while overstaffing and overfunding those who deal with petty crime.
Also, your premise is a lie
Warden. Your example of censorship is feeble at best. Consider FB killing the Laptop from Hell story. How about the President of the United States banned from Twitter. How about all the microaggressions existing at universities. The left are the censors among us.
87,000 IRS agents and no new agents to help with a border invasion. The country would have been far better off hiring more cops and border patrol agents. The hubs of crime in America are found primarily in Democrat-governed cities. It’s Democrats who perpetrate hate crimes against Asians, knockout games, flash mobs, and torching cities.
Your limited knowledge of affirmative action is also evident in the case you cited. The controlling case for Affirmative Action is Bakke. Lewis Powell wrote a miserable decision violative of the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Like Roe vs. Wade, it was an erroneous decision that will be corrected during this next court term in the case involving admission discrimination by Harvard and North Carolina against superior performing Asian students. Government ordained racism cannot be construed as being otherwise simply by what Justice Powell called a “compelling state interest.”
There has never been an FBI scandal worse than the four year hounding of President Trump.
Merrick Garland was denied conformation by the Senate which made a wise choice in so doing considering his partisan stewardship of the FBI. The worst denial of confirmation was visited on one of the most scholarly jurists of recent years, Robert Bork. Even now, the process of denial is referred to as being “borked.”
Presently, thanks to leftists, it is quite acceptable to express open hatred for white people, libeling an entire race as being innately racist. European culture is the acme of human civilization adjudged by its, scientific discovery, prosperous nations, and expansion of human rights. Where are the celebrations in America for its European cultural influence. Why are so many people risking their lives to enter America illegally? No one is rushing the border of Zimbabwe, Honduras, Haiti, or Mongolia.
Freedom of Speech pertains to the protecting private citizens from the power of the state over their speech. I have provided undisputed examples of the GOP using the power of the state to suppress speech, a direct violation of the 1st Amendment. You, in turn, have provided examples of private companies and violations of terms of service, etc. Rather than caring about actual freedom of speech, what you are requesting, is freedom FROM consequences. It is just another example of how you’d prefer the state suppression of our freedoms to the point of forcing private companies to comply with your political ideals when violations of their terms of service have occurred. Just another example of authoritarian right wingers who have no love or respect for our country.
That is incorrect. What you have a problem with is citizens using the power of their purse to push change, pursue their values with their dollars, etc. That is what Adam Smith called the Invisible Hand of the Market. Once again, you have not only a problem with concepts like Freedom of Speech and the values of this country, but you also have a problem with the concept of capitalism, at least…when you are not in control of said processes.
