This dude is calling for old-fashioned elections. It’s obviously a plea to do single day, vote-in-person, have the count completed by that night.
Instead this rag is all, “Hurr, hurr, 1950s, he’s RACIST.” There’s no substance here.
Well, that’s not entirely all of it. Read the part about how he wants the legislature to singularly decide whether to accept it or not and then appoint THEIR OWN ELECTORS.
That’s not old fashioned elections. That’s removing the votes and deciding on their own in a little group, behind closed door, dismissing all of the actual citizens…diametrically opposed to the reason they were elected.
And, he is racist and he is a shitbag.
His last stunt was trying to require a bill making it a law that teachers out LGBTQ kids to their parents. Before that, he was restricting nearly any mention of race in schools, eliminating a vast portion of our history he doesn’t want talked about. Routinely, he compares transsexuals to farm animals.
Most importantly, though - he wants to strip the voters of AZ of their rights, dismissing their votes if he and his buddies don’t like the result.
Yeah, a legislator veto is ridiculous. It would be better if the media could just report things straight, but then they wouldn’t be able to cash in on faux outrage.
