Avantae Williams was a highly prized recruit coming out of DeLand High School near Orlando. He was ranked the #2 safety in the USA. Manny Diaz boldly stole him away from Florida in 2020.
“Tae” badly underperformed at Miami and was suspended more than once. Eventually, he was kicked off the team in 2021 for assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.
He transferred to Maryland after two years at Miami.
Recently, he shot a man seven times in the chest during a barroom brawl.
Reached for comment in his prison cell at the Wilson Pickett State Country Club and Correctional Facility, Avantae quipped, “It was selfs defense all da way, I tells you. He made fun of my neck tattoos and wanted to duke it out. I aint’s gots no time for that nonsense so a busted seven caps into that nigga’s chest.”
Reportedly, as a result of this unfortunate incident, Avantae is no longer being considered for Central Florida’s Humanitarian of the Year Award.
