Auburn's claiming our 1983 title now. OK with it?

1983…and about six others too!!!

Hell, they always did cry about it, same with 2004. But in '83 they lost at home to Texas 20-7 and when it was all on the line to look your best they needed a last second kick to beat Michigan 9-7. The polls had them 3rd going into that game and that’s where they stayed. No one was all that impressed that they needed a last second FG to beat a Big Ten runner up that year.

I guess all’s fair I suppose. They were 11-1 but so was Texas. Nebraska was 12-1. Hell, give everyone a piece of it I suppose. They’'ll get our trophies I assume, when Ohio State gives us all of our 2002 trophies, right?

This is ridiculous. Using modern metrics to declare a new champion 100 years ago?!?

Auburn is now claiming that focusing only on AP champions is wrong, but then they override the BCS computers? The whole point if the BCS system was to avoid the AP rating.

This is just them trying to pad out their trophy cabinet.

If they don’t physically have the trophy, they can pack sand.

Maybe we should claim the 2000 natty. FSU shouldn’t have even been in that game after losing to Miami. We all know if Miami plays OU that Orange Bowl game, they earn another natty.

F Auburn.
