At church yesterday

The church I attend had a very different message yesterday. The lead pastor came as close as to tell the congregation whom they should vote for without actually telling you whom to vote for. I mean he even said, “Vote for policy not personality. You aren’t going to have dinner with this person. Ignore their behavior and just vote on policy.” So in other words, even if the person doesn’t actually live by what we are Christians stand for, vote for them because their policies most closely align with biblical principles. There’s just one problem with this line of thinking. Neither fully align. It’s not as simple as he makes it sound. As I’ve stated before, I’m not a fan of either candidate, but I absolutely cannot vote for one in particular. If there ever was a year to sit out, this would be one. Especially after what was said after the hurricane. Rant over. I will now return you to your regulary scheduled programming.

Sounds like this goof misunderstood his pastor

CanesFan, do you or anyone else know what Kamala’s policies are?. She refuses to answer questions. If religion is of importance to you, then your choice should be Trump. Take a look at his children. They’re exemplary citizens. Ask yourself the key question about under which administration were you and the rest of the country better off. Seems to me you perceive your decision as voting for the lessor of two evils.

I have already answered this question one time before. My life and my family’s lives are relatively unchanged from multiple presidencies, not just this one. Why? The answer is simple, we don’t worship the people in office. If someone who is elected doesn’t perform, one of two things happens. That person doesn’t get re-elected or that person only gets 2 terms. Here’s a pattern that if you haven’t recognized it, then I don’t know what to tell you. When the Democrats have had the White House, the economy recovers. Then when a Republican comes in, the economy starts to tank. For instance; when Clinton left, he handed Bush (who I voted for twice), a surplus. 8 years later, the economy is in rough shape. Then we have Obama who got elected. He handed over an economy that was not only turned around, but thriving to Trump. Unfortunately for Trump, his presidency encountered the worldwide pandemic. A playbook on how to handle a pandemic was left behind and out of arrogance, he ignored it. Trump doesn’t understand how tariffs work. China isn’t paying the tariffs, the company doing the importing is. So what is that company going to do to offset that cost? They are going to pass that cost off to the consumer. Are you ignoring what the economists are saying what will happen to the average family finances if Trump wins and enforces even more and even higher tariffs? Trump is playing on peoples’ emotions. Deport everyone, ok, but how are we going to pay for that? There is a price tag attached to that. Yes folks, it costs to remove people from this country. By the way, the tax plan we are currently under is Trump’s.

So what does all that mean? Does that mean that Republicans are incapaple of running a good economy? No, but it does say the last few ones we’ve had, at least in my lifetime, haven’t had the best of circumstances. I said all that to say this: One administration inherits the work of the other. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad. Being an Independent Voter allows me to look at both parties objectively.

Then you haven’t been paying attention. She’s answered questions plenty of times, but if you are only watching Fox, then you wouldn’t see that. As far as her policies, they are easily available to find on her campaign website. I would assume that Trump’s policies are just as easily available as well. Even with that said, I’m still not a fan of Harris.

Bikki, you got your wish. Trump has won the election. Kamala was a weak candidate. I was never a fan. I like Gavin Newsome and Josh Shapiro. Dems tried to force feed Kamala to everyone. It backfired. Trump would not have beaten Gavin or Josh.
