Asking a question

Since this is a private board I would like to bring something up. Last week I came home from my son’s football game. I dropped him off. I went to get something to eat. On the drive back it was dark on the street I was driving: This guy was standing in the middle of the street. I hit the guy and he went flying off the hood of my truck. I stopped right away and called the cops. They did a report and luckily there was a witness who saw the entire accident. Not going to lie it messed me up. I feel awful what happened. Not sure if anyone else here has ever had this happen. If so how did you deal with it?

The guy was alright which is most important.

Sounds awful. Was the guy trying to off himself? I hear a lot of people jump in front of trains because it seems impersonal, but it really screws with the heads of the train conductors.

At least this guy is alright. Not much more you can do now except get brighter LED headlights.

Not sure. He was on something. I just have never seen someone fly off the front of a truck like that. He was just standing there which was quite odd.

Believe it or not, some people have a death wish. Others thinks they can get an insurance payout. Crazy world we live in.

If you are asking about dealing with the trauma I would suggest talking to someone about it. It may be helpful with your mental state.

Crazy story. Glad you are both are ok.

Look for a psychologist that specializes in treating trauma. Could be helpful to talk to someone to let the emotion out.

PS - how fast were you going? Just curious.

35 - it came out of nowhere - just a dark street. You don’t expect someone to be in the middle of the street.
