I’ve always been fond of 51. He worked arduously at his task of moderation. Obviously, a good citizen and family man, his judgment at times was splendid, particularly in handling Broward Cane. 51 transitioned over the years from being rather conservative into being rather liberal; he despised Trump, failing to discern even a fragment of goodness during his term in office. As a moderator, he erred in engaging too robustly in arguments in which he, might better have been a mediator than a participant. His judgment too became questionable at times, especially in regard to editing others’ opinions, and allowing coarseness to works its way into his discourse. All in all, he remained too long as a moderator; he should have handed off the baton at an earlier time. I regret deeply that his feelings may have been hurt, and I would certainly welcome his return to the forum.
Warden whom I jokingly threatened to immerse in Alabama bayou water till his demons were extirpated is also one whom I miss. Warden’s raison d’etre was to insult others perceiving that he operated on a high intellectual plane than we the others whom he regarded as vacuous, despicable peons. Warden indeed adduced some good research and scored some victories. Through he wrote some terrible things about me, I liked him. He had a broad interest in a great variety of subjects and oft times persuaded me to review knowledge that I had long forgotten. Yes, I would welcome back Warden as well.
This leaves me with Djrion. I think Djrion wrote some of the most atrocious posts ever on this board, and at one time I thought he was just a complete asshole. But, as the years passed, I discerned that he was a talented and knowledgeable human, one who seemed to be suffering some sort of disillusionment in his life. Infrequently, he’d write with great authority with regard to urban planning and computer generated art. There was often an unpleasant snarkiness to his prose, and I especially disliked the negativity he imparted toward the Miami Hurricanes. I hope Djrion is living a happy life, and too, I’d welcome his back to the forum. I’d even apologize to him for portraying him as a closeted tranny who occasionally donned his cheer-leading outfits.
