This isn’t great journalism. At best, the numbers are confusing.

I was gonna say the same thing. I mean, I think I believe the premise, that far right extremism is a bigger danger in this country than far left extremism, but this presentation is awful.
For one, antifa as people know it has only been around a few years, so don’t go comparing it to 25 years of opposition data.
And then when the metrics are broadened, why shorten the timespan from 25 years to 10 years? Is it because the comparison is less favorable? Which is a dumb move because you go back 25 years, you get to attribute the worst incident of US domestic terrorism to the right.
It goes back to the 80s man.
Both parties are leaning further and further apart. When this happens, violence and protests become more common as they are accepted. This is why a hedge on Crypto could be seen as a good gamble (assuming the US Government fails in some way over the next 4 years).
What I find interesting, this all shows that the church has lost some of it’s voice with the right. It will be very interesting to see if they continue to support Trump or turn away from him in the coming months and years.
The database mentioned in the article only goes back to 94. And the “left-wing” comparison strangely only goes back to 2010.

Thus likely includes the OKC bombing which killed 168 of the 325. Not saying we should remove it, just that it has a massive impact on the scale of the issue. One person killed 168 in 1997.
In the scope, 9/11 was 10x worse than anything the left or right has done.
