this could’ve been a home run hire but Baker is still employed here as DC which renders the move useless.

Next up, DL coach needs to be a similar hire. Prefer another with DC experience. Always helps to have fall back plans!
I expect Manny to hire a DL coach and a DC or co-DC which means Baker is LB maybe co-DC.
I’d be surprised if trob agreed to NOT be coDC but baker keeps coDC with someone else. My guess is DL and solo DC on the way, Baker bumped down to LB alone, Patke moves to ST alone.
100% works for me although I could see Baker depart, Patke move to LB or ST with another brought in for the other role.
Great hire. I suspect we will have a new DC as well. Although I’m sure it won’t satisfy our whole fanbase because it wasn’t done fast enough

The next big question, is Manny a good enough CEO to pull off the next step up the ladder on the field. His off season moves the last two years have been impressive. Coaching replacements and getting some kids to actually return!

Once banda was gone I think the writing was on the wall for the whole D. Banda the only one with value and had a landing spot lined up.

Never saw Patke was fired? I’d wager moved to ST alone. Baker I can’t see a good reason to keep him on staff.
Not sure he’s much of a coach, but checks all my hire requirements.
Admittedly, Robinson has a very shady past. Which is my way of saying, similar to Coley, no doubt he’ll be a good recruiter but not exactly the force he was elsewhere.
