Sorry, guys, I am prepared for an unprepared team and we lose this game.

Wow, I’m shocked.

I probably am wrong but when was the last time they wore these. I am thinking it was against a team we should have beaten but lost to.

Yep wrong again

I guess they wore them against ol miss last year according to past threads

Yeah, the uniform will win us this game

I think it’s going to be more like the FSU game. Stupid tight and hopefully hold on. Bill’s gonna cook up some stuff and make the Oline look really bad throughout the game and Mensah may take too many hits. On defense, can our back seven hold up and will we need to blitz too much, which may open up bigger gaps in the back end. Halloween stuff man, I think it’s going to be stupid tight and a coin toss on who wins. GO CANES! Get the W

Ya but you’ve said it every week, so sooner or later the blind squirrel is gonna crack the nut

That being said, I’m a little worried about Belichick and the lookahead too.

This year’s team is better than last year’s. This I attribute to having a better QB. Our passing game is far superior, but would have been even better had we not lost Moore who though not a Jeremiah Smith possesses many of his talents especially the ability to power up and make the contested catch against a pile of defenders. Do I have some criticisms about the offense. Absolutely. I think Lofton needs more touches. Seems to me Dawson forgets about his TEs, especially on early downs. Dawson loves bubble screens but rarely uses slant plays which when completed always yield positive yards. Dawson still loves running through the A gap, yet our most successful plays are through the wider gaps. I think there is credible evidence that arguably our best rusher may be the freshman Mallory. Yes, Mallory reminds me of Frank Gore of whom I have still vivid memories. All you could say about the first appearance of Frank Gore was “wow!” Real power in a football team is seen when you can run the ball again and again and the opposing team is powerless to stop you. Unfortunately Miami is vulnerable to the pass as revealed against Wake and FSU. Norvell’s team I thought fought tenaciously and were it not for the guys in stripped shirts, they might have won the game. BYW, no way Norvell will be fired because it would cost FSU $100 million to replace him. Meanwhile, the guy at UF is on the verge of building a formidable team, check out his 2027 recruiting class. Though the Canes are stiffer than last year against the run, they are not reaching the QB as they did last year. We are trailing last year in sacks. iMO, the Canes need to increase pressure and attempt to put into the game what last year was the “ Keionte Effect.” Additionally, we have intercepted fewer balls this year. To win the big games, you’ve got to get to the QB, the same way we did last year when we physically manhandled the OSU Buckeyes, and you can bet your bottom dollar that QB Julian Sayin has vivid memories of that game, which since I hate OSU due to the past theft of a natty, is my favourite game we’ve played in the past decade.

Well, the board gets a bit too quiet at times so I post what I am feeling in the moment. I like what CMC is doing BUT there are moments, like FSU, where we just fall apart, look undisciplined, etc…and while Pitt was a good bounce back game some of those same issues are still there.

There are a few moments of history making on Halloween that we have had over the years, where we won, that it just “feels” like this UNC game is the one where we lose. For me, this game will tell me more about the makeup of our team and coaching preparedness than the other games have.

Oh look, nuts!!

We are NOT a better team than last year, sorry Bikki. Oline is not better, Dline is not better, QB is better, yes, but RB is about the same, WR is about the same. Thornton was brought in to be a Keonte Scott and he’s not. Injuries certainly did damage to our secondary but we are still giving up too many chunk plays and over the middle crosses. Yeah, we do have to find a way to get more pressure because our front four alone just aren’t doing it consistently enough. I don’t see much of any depth behind Lightfoot and Wilson and the latter isn’t playing up to the hype.

Over the last sixty years,I watched QBs Fran Curci, George Mira, Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, Vinnie Testaverde, Ken Dorsey, and Cam Ward. None have even come close to Mensah’s 82 per cent completion record. This make Miami a better team than last year. I do concede that our biggest shortcoming is the degree of pressure, compared to last year, that this year’s team can apply upon opposing quarterbacks. We solve this problem, I don’t see how anyone can outscore this team.

Our Defense is terrible. Jeebus

Really got abused. Each team has found soft spots this year. Last night they used each and every one of them very well. Add to that very poor tackling and at least SOME instances of lack of desire to pursue and finish. 4 ish sacks but really felt like the pressure wasn’t enough, at key moments, and couldn’t contain and paid for it consistently.

But VERY low penalties, no special teams blunders, and a KEY turnover and the kids are undefeated still.

The offense has problems, but they converted on all but 1 or 2 possessions. Toney “shackled” for probably 100+ total yards and 2? TD’s. IDK was Fletcher was hot about but he almost had an Al Bundy Polk High type game. Mallory being 2nd string and this effective is pretty ridiculous given the room talent even with Brown down.

What will really annoy me is how Miami went on the road in a conference game like this against a nemesis and won, and it will be a negative towards them and not the rest of the teams this happened to this weekend.

Still undefeated!!! Hope OJ is somehow back next week. ND will be interesting with this D for sure but how great is this!!!

It’s always spun as a negative with Miami. Quite a few, some here, were saying we’d lose and we found a way to win. The defense was bad no doubt. And we have all of the issues everyone has talked about. But we are 8-0 and almost every other team has lost at least once and had a bad game or two. That’s worth celebrating. On to ND and hope we can play our best game of the year because we’ll need it.

I will say our O line has progressed, the defense is looking worse every week. Billy fuking Edwards threw for almost 400 yards and had 4 touchdowns. Not Sayin, Chambliss, or any other stud. Billy fucking Edwards with a jacked up finger.
