Football is a game that demands consistency, however, the “on any given night” occurrences makes it difficult to handicap. From what I’ve seen we’ve got consistency in the most important position. At times, Van Dyke looked awesome, but at other times woefully feckless. How refreshing to have a QB after a twenty-year hiatus and all the attendant suffering of fans. Yes, Ward will make mistakes, but he’s far from being a Humpty Dumpty, and panic is not one of his emotions.
