Advice from Pensacola

An extremely desperate plea from the media to convert milquetoast republicans to their side lol.

Your distaste for Jesus shines through

Lol- ok warden.

Your article was penned by Bill Young whom I’ve known for years. Bill is a rarity in Pensacola. He’s what I would call an ultra-liberal and a huge supporter of the Democrat Party. Despite being a loser when it comes to politics, he’s an affable guy and has been successful in his neighborhood preservation campaign. Bill lives in the East Hill neighborhood, an area of old homes, beautifully restored, sidewalks on all streets, and numerous small parks. Some of the homes in the area front Bayor Texar and are valued in the millions of dollars. Bill loves the beach and was once an avid surfer.

Absolutely . Guy legits would spit on Jesus face if he saw him irl.

These 2 are in complete love with themselves.

They mock Jesus but now I’m supposed to worry about your opinion of my relationship with Him? Lol- ok.

Again, your god would chose a non believer (me) over you at the pearly gates. That’s what a fucking shit stain of an unhuman you are.

Again - if you’re being serious with this statement then you don’t know anything about Christianity. The absolute core of Christianity is saved by grace through FAITH.

What a dummy.

You don’t have one. You, apparently, haven’t a clue who the guy is. You definitely have created your own comic book character in his stead, but no…you clearly don’t have any

Amazing that he truly thinks he’s a Christian. No way God let’s in a habitual liar. Not a chance. Then he doesn’t even realize he lies, either. But that doesn’t give him access…

They love pulling on this thread. Not sure what they think it gains them. It’s very odd.

You’ve already proven that you don’t know what a Christian is. So forgive me (pun intended) if I don’t put any weight in your analysis.

That’s not how he sees it. From his perspective, morality only exists in relation to his interpreted “God.” Literally, nothing from society’s relationship to each other, social norms, mores, values we have mean anything to him. Slavery, murder, bashing a baby against a rock, child rape…none of that means anything to him in terms of right or wrong if it doesn’t come from how he interprets his Bible. His God didn’t go against slavery, so to GSC, nothing is wrong with it. His God allegedly used bad people to do what he wanted, so the moral standing of a person has no importance to him. It’s the “end justifies the means” type of mentality, coupled with the narcissistic and self righteous attitude that only he has the ability to interpret God’s word correctly and his actions are justified, regardless of today’s values or morals, as long as it fills the direction from which he sees his God is directing him.
Now, this mentality isn’t new and isn’t uncommon. It’s how we got things like the Inquisition, Crusades, slavery and a myriad of other atrocities throughout history. It’s the same mindset of the very worst of us. I mean, think about his stance within his own church…he’ll take a stand and call himself an apostate for not accepting a church council that moved the church towards a more inclusive, outward facing stance…things like having the clergy perform facing the congregation rather than the clergy itself. He was willing to stand against all he believes to fight against that! But, mention slavery, child rape, the church covering up for crimes…whatever…and he cares not even the slightest. There are those who would have seen the Inquisition and been terrified at what people could do to each other. There are those, like GSC, who were screaming “Burn the Witch” at the top of their lungs.

To GSC, dogma over morality. He had a political ideology and chooses and conforms his religion around that, not the other way around. He created his Jesus. It’s the blue eyed, blond haired, Republican Jesus who is more like a WWE character than any historical figure.
