A Miami staffer got an NFL Coordinator gig

The last two decades we have been plagued by bad coaches, but there is someone that worked at UM that is now an NFL DC…Sean Desai. Worked with him and was very bright.

Outside of Shannon, no one has hit at an even below average rate on coaches, and at most times we have had multiple coaches on staff who would not be hired by any other P5 school.

Good for him. It really is amazing how far we’ve fallen.

And at this point all I want to do is win a shitty bowl game.

I think he was with Miami for about five minutes. He was a initially a GA and became Special Teams Coordinator on Golden’s staff at Temple, followed him to Miami to fill a role in Football Operations and left pretty quickly (after about a year?) to take a Special Teams Coaching job at BC againing leaving after one year. Sort of like Diaz in that he never played in college and is a student of the game who worked his way up. He hung on in Chicago through several (3?) head coaches changes. He had a QC job on Trestman’s staff originally. It’s a big jump to go from a couple of years as a safeties coach to DC for an NFL team. Good luck to him. Might be the only Indian coach in the NFL?
