But an elite special forces group that was trained for years and certified by NATO, using Western intelligence and equipment?
Yes, they could do it.
And yes, drone missions are a lot easier than hostage rescue, which requires ACTUAL PEOPLE in the kill zone, requires deadly force at close range, while simultaneously requiring protection of those being rescued, not to mention the ensuing follow-up mission of EVACUATION (which isn’t a concern in drone strikes/bombings).
It’s a super super super hard problem and even Delta Force doesn’t have a spotless record in this regard.
