The loss of Russian soldiers so far is staggering. You know, when they lost a bunch of people defending themselves in WWII, it was heroic. Now it’s just disgustingly wasteful. Putin is a fucking barbarian.
The whole Ukraine situation is tough to think about because they are not getting combat support. It will not happen. Mariupol is going to be overwhelmed and then the Russians will have a land bridge to Crimea and own southern Ukraine. Things are very slow going, but it’s only a matter of time until Kyiv is encircled.
Russia will keep throwing bodies at this thing until they win, and the whole world is watching and not doing enough.
Yes, I wish NATO would defend sovereign Ukraine land. NATO at the very least should set up west of the Dnieper. That way they can protect Kyiv and Odesa without sharing a real border with Russia (Crimea excluded). As long as NATO doesn’t strike inside Russia, there is no reason to resort to nukes.
