Are there pro-Biden people in the room? Are the election officials in the room? What makes an audit transparent is the use of people that would be negatively impacted by the results if they were overturned.
It is like hiring an pro Miami ref for Miami vs Bama and expecting them to not make more calls for Miami than Bama. Sure you may find a ref with high morals/integrity but most will still lean towards Miami which is why most bowl games use refs from different conferences.
Simple: no one has provided actual infrastructure details to discuss. It is all hyperbole about what could have happened with zero details on how things were setup/run. Most good security plans need to remain private for the integrity of the plan. Very few secure infrastructures have public security plans.
Thus, it is all conjecture to comment on something I have zero real details on. I can talk IT security all day but without details on how they secured(or failed to secure) the election it would all be me pissing into the wind.
Lastly, the audit is on-going. Any details that are spilled only hurt the integrity of the audit and those running it. I would much rather see the real details of the audit than conjecture of potential outcomes.
Have you considered the chance that the audit finds limited fraud and nothing of the magnitude that would change the outcome of the election? Point being, why not wait for results of the audit before posting the outcome.
The rules are published. It’s all on film. Observers are present. And all of their findings will be made public in a report to be analyzed by anyone that wants to analyze them.
It’s funny that I never heard you once complain about republicans being kicked out of the polls on Election Day in all these contested battleground states but today… today you complain Joe’s people aren’t present?
You see why I have a hard time with you calling yourself a Republican?
You see, this is where integrity happens! Democrats can kick out republicans on Election Day and republicans can still have enough integrity to invite them into the audits. That is how you WIN.
I 100% think that republican poll watchers should be allowed in democratic leaning districts just like democrats should be allowed in republicans districts.
I don’t identify as republican. I’m a conservative independent. Since Bush 2, I’ve been an independent as I didn’t think we needed to give up freedoms and go to war in Iraq.
PA- they should hold a new election when non-Democrats aren’t on ballots. I can’t imagine any other way to handle it.
Voting machine videos- those are worthless. First talks about the machine…not much to see. Second, shows a person removing a screw. Wow! As for the folding ballot causing incorrect counts, yes that is possible but it could also cause incorrect counts against Biden/for Trump.
Layers 1,2,3 can be summarized with this: did they connect the physical devices into the correct networks and were those networks physically set-up correctly. There are some risks here. Examples: 1. additional devices are set-up on the networks allowing a breach of the full network. 2. a voting machine has been physically compromised at the network layer thus transporting different information than what was recorded on the machine. (Research how gas station credit card swipes have been hacked with another device over the card swipe, this isn’t an apple to apple example).
I still wouldn’t put this high up on the list of how they would hack but this would be easy for anyone to mess-up simply by plugging any device (windows laptop, macbook…) into the same network thus opening a door for hackers to gain virtual access via a physically connected device that shouldn’t be connected.
Layer 4: This is the transportation protocols (most likely TCP/IP as UDP is mostly used for streaming with no confirmation on the end-point receiving data). This could get compromised in endless ways: router(s), actual devices,… I still wouldn’t put this high up on the list of how they would hack as it would require too much work when there are much easier paths.
Layer 5: Session layer- In the case of the election devices, this is another that would be a lot of work for hackers when there are much easier paths. It would require multiple layers of access (1-5).
Layer 6: Presentation layer- the best example I can give you is the browser. HTTP = not secure and data flows from server to browser with anyone on the network being able to see it. HTTPS = secure with encryption thus the server and end-user’s browser have the keys and everyone else just sees encrypted data. In the case of election machines, It would depend on how they are designed to operate. I would have to imagine that they aren’t hosting web pages for elections but instead programmed into the device are the ballots and the devices store all results THEN transport totals. If they aren’t encrypting data then anyone could be streaming fake data to the server that would think it is getting real results.
Layer 7- This is where most hackers focus although some focus on 1-4 to gain access and plant code on weak devices (see the ransomware of late). This is what we really should be looking into as a country. Code reviews are common place with most security compliance models. Thus, Dominion can make a change to the code and the client should AUDIT that code change so they can confirm that the executed code is not going to compromise their election. The bigger issue with the USA, we have thousands of local elections with ZERO tech knowledge to truly understand the code and audit. Thus, we need to have a better method for auditing the election systems used. I literally could spend days thinking up ways Layer 7 could be compromised by just about anyone. Lots of hackers will compromise an individual at a place like Dominion to get a backdoor into their network so they can commit code changes or network changes without anyone knowing. This is social hacking as much as IT hacking as it requires the hacker to convince someone that they are an employee OR contract that should have access even though they shouldn’t. This same thing could also happen at a local election but with fare small impacts.
I did the best I could to explain it in common terms. There are tons of additional security risks I didn’t mention as I didn’t want to keep writing endlessly.
Excellent post on all levels, not just this quote. However, in this quote I’d like to counter the term “audit” by presenting a nice writeup:
Obv this fits with your general ending thought of witch hunt, but I think that the term up front needs to be challenged. It isn’t an audit, as those have already happened by entities that have experience and do not make up procedures on the fly with a biased leader and staff at the helm. The NPR article documents all of this substantively (@Canes51)
Trump is the King of creating his own narrative, or better stated as disinformation to the layman or simulacrum to those with a preference to philosophy. We are now faced with the represcussions of this unreality which is a result of deceit and the constantnt spinning of narratives in order to create ones own truth. Gsc, skeeter, bill, and bikki do not care about any truth, they care about their own version of truth. One that is manipulated in hyperreality.
Last I checked that is true for my analogy. Football rules is published. It is all on film. Fans are present. All fundings are made public to be analyzed by anyone. Is it a perfect analogy, no.
Except the owner has hired the refs, brought in the fans with no opposing fans allowed in the building, made up rules (after game started), changed procedures after mishandling ballots, prevented media access, has huge incentive to lie, and is partly funded by an org that needs the outcome different to press on with their narrative.
Wow you are a real deep thinker with tons of research! All you can do is discuss an analogy I made.
All this after calling me out and questioning my integrity. You can’t handle this shit as a narcissist person. You have to feel like you are better than everyone but can’t do it as you aren’t! I have respect for GSC, Bikki, and Skeeter as they can at least articulate their own thoughts. You can’t even type a fucking paragraph of your own thoughts! All of my kids can do that even the 8 year old. You want some respect, earn it!
This just shows me and everyone here that you can’t even ask a direct question. Your broad question needed a broad answer. Sometimes I wonder if you even have a high school education.
