What Trump is showing is the hypocrisy of Kamala’s racial identity politics. On one hand, she identifies as an Indian while on the other as an African-American. Her birth certificate does muddy the waters. She’s listed as the child of a Caucasian-Indian mother and a Jamaican father (never mentioning her father’s African heritage).
Trump is right that Kamala confuses the public about her heritage.
One issue I can put to rest myself, that being her status as an African-American. Anyone born in Jamaica regardless of race is considered an American. The Americas were named by a 15th Century German mapmaker for explorer Amerigo Vespucci. The Caribbean Islands are considered a sub-region of the Americans continents. Kamala’s father was of African descent. Hence, Kamala is most definitely an African-American. She is also an Indian-American. Undoubtedly, her shifting identities in politics is confusing, but she is not prevaricating.
Being mixed race, she has every right to do so.
