The slippery slope

Oh leave it out. Gays are now threatening the human race?

You’re reaching.

Frankly, your god is an asshole if he doesnt accept those that he creates. Full stop.

Everyone believes in whatever they want is pure nihlism. Nietzsche would be proud.

How does “DNA” explain intersex?

No, but trans is threatening the human race

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

They clearly aren’t - I’m just saying we shouldn’t be letting kids get the surgery.

Whoa. Perhaps I have not read this thread properly.

Our public school are becoming despotic foci of chaos. You don’t trample rights of parents by conferring greater rights on trans and homosexuals. We’ve gone centuries with a workable moral order. Rending asunder things that work creates anarchy and massive ill-will. People have a right to live their lives as they see fit, but they must obey laws and they must obey a disciplinary code within an educational institution. Their rights should not infringe illegally over the rights of others. What is so difficult about that?

Thankfully, we have private schools in our country with rigorous standards. Private schools are teaching for mastery and measuring achievement. Everything in this world is assessed for value and quality. Education is no different. We need Regents Exams in our schools so we can measure achievement. Just have a look at an Algebra book today. Gone are the days when you were issued a book that challenged even the most talented among us. I remember my 1958 Algebra book contained over 900 onion skin pages. It was actually leather bound. Yes, the answers to problems were in the appendix of the book. But, there were some questions that had stars on them. They were the most challenging, and there was no answer for them in the book. Fortunately, their solutions were in the teachers’ manuals, because they were rigorous. I remember crying at night unable to solve some of these problems, and my teacher would give me hints to their solution. When I solved one it was an exultant thrill. Small wonder that my peers performed better on SAT tests by a larger measure than today’s students. The SAT has now been simplified due to phony allegation of racism. Racism has nothing to do with studying math, nothing whatsoever. We must teach for mastery, have competition, and measuring against standards.

The PISA is a worldwide exam administered every three years that measures 15-year-olds in 72 countries. About 540,000 students took the exam in 2015. Send your kids to Estonia…

Straight up dishonest lunatic.

A lie. Bigots always claim equal is “greater.”

You mean like Oscar Wilde, Socrates, Hadrian, Edward II and Lord Byron? Were you referring to James Buchanan, Lincoln maybe?

Except the ones you don’t like, don’t agree that they should have rights at all. You just mean the ones who look like you and agree with you have the right to live their lives as they see fit. Bigot.

Yet, when the educational institutions initiated mask mandates you were against it and supported people threatening the educational institutions, thus proving again that you’re little more than a hypocrite and dishonest.

Talk about an ironic statement

You should ask yourself that, but you aren’t honest. I suspect you’re not honest with yourself either, hence your obsession with transgenders. Methinks you fear dicks are delicious

The goal of fascist right wingers like Bikki is they’ve always wanted to privatize everything, especially education. In those private schools, they can teach outright lies far away from the standardization and oversight requirements of public schools, all the while enriching themselves with the grift. If only they would stop attacking public schools, fighting any increase in funding for public schools while championing the funding for private and charter schools. Private schools have smaller class sizes, better paid teachers, more individual attention, etc. They score better. Charter schools are by and large a fraud. Over 25% close within 15 years, 18% closing within a 3 year mark. More than a half a billion dollars of public money has been spent on charter schools that never even opened. Its a grift and no surprise that people like Betsy Devos are the consistent champions of the fraud. Also, it’s no surprise that the Devos family started the MLM Amway scheme and made their money off conning people.

Erroneous. Regents exams are used in public schools in NY. Every state has their own standardized tests used in the same way throughout the education process.

Cite examples. When is the last time your old ass got a high school algebra book?

Today they have calculators and spend an average of 25 more days at school than in 1958. But, with the smaller classes, less standardized testing each year throughout their process so there was more focus on actual teaching than teaching for the test the plagues our schools so much today, it appears they did receive a better education. The results, however, don’t always work out that way. In 1958, only 36.4% of whites had a diploma and 13.7% of blacks. Today, 92.1% of whites and 84.7% of blacks have a hs diploma. There were a dramatically smaller # of people both in the country and competing for jobs than there are today, a smaller # in universities. Today, higher education is expected of almost everyone, regardless of the need. But, I do concur in general - education was better in the late 50s and 60s. Like most other things, the greatest generation before you did something your generation could never and would never do - they thought of others above themselves. They handed your generation the biggest opportunity gift in the history of our country, potentially our world…and your generation of locusts, like all other things you’ve touched, devoured it and left nothing for anyone else afterwards, all the while patting yourselves on the back and pointing the finger at the less fortunate who’ve inheritance you’ve squandered.

The boomers were, by all accounts, the most selfish and self indulgent group that has ever existed in the history of humanity. You’ve practiced scorched earth from your onset.

He won’t respond

Might be time to destroy public schools. It’s becoming ridiculous.

Like the authoritarian you’ve shown yourself to be, not a shocking opinion from you. I mean, let’s be honest, you don’t even think some of the classes are real, like astronomy and physics. But, better not to take advice on education from a guy who is still arguing with Copernicus and Galileo.

All that being said, I pray to the sweet Lord Jesus that one of yours goes trans just for shits and giggles. Better get them out of school! Might be infected

Teaching for the test is a sensible method. Tests determine whether learning has taken place. Tests contain the material teachers consider important to impart to students. A teacher that doesn’t test abandons achieving specific goals. Education is an industry that is not outside the realm of quality control. I have always favored deployment of Regents Exams to gauge whether learning has taken place. The U.S. is lagging behind many countries in the world in regard to achievement and demonstrated learning.

Did you wake up and were out of your meds? Who’s teaching without tests? Also, every state has similar standardized tests like the NY Regent Exam. In Texas, we have the TAAS. Are you high? Wtf are you babbling about?
