i think critics say she has praised Mussolini before (btw, he’s the person who coined the term fascism).
However, she denies there is a place for fascism today and says it has been consigned to history. In Italy, her party is considered center-right, though some people consider it post-fascist. In the end, she’s a conservative who is against abortion and LGBT marriage, and that sort of stuff.
Italy has made a marvelous choice against woke madness.
The same thing will happen in other European countries. The biggest issue in elections will be: 1. the economy, and 2. immigration. Sounds familiar, and liberals are on the wrong side of both issues.

France has already cycled back to reality. Look at labour party lead in England rn over conservatives. It takes a lot of cover up as the fascists recycle themselves, but they always get pushed back out. It would be nice if people stopped falling for the lipstick on a pig trick.
Time will tell if Meloni sticks with her word about running the country as a centrist. I suspect it will be a lot like our supreme kangaroo court justices who stated roe was precedent tho.
