I wonder if Ryan Day wishes he’d kept Kyle McCord? Granted, we made him look like Joe Montana but he couldn’t have been worse for OSU today than Will Howard was. I can’t believe how bad this defense is this year. Give us a pulse there and this is a 12-0 playoff team with a high seed and a bye week. Ready to throw up over this joke of a team!

Yup…More so the coaching imo. The D is what it is at this point.
I mean…how about zone? How about rolling a safety over top to help Frederique? How about noticing that Martinez was hurting people out there and let him get more than 10 touches? How about not kicking a FG?

I mentioned something similar early in the thread. But truth be told, McCord had his chance last season ant he blew it vs Michigan.
I take it then that Will Howard is done there as well then? McCord last year lead the team to 24 points in a 30-24 loss vs the eventual national champions. Howard put up TEN POINTS for the entire day all in the first half in a 13-10 loss vs a 6-5 shell of a Michigan team.

I don’t think Martinez got enough touches this year. In games where he got touches, he seemed to get stronger as the game progressed.
This makes two years in a row where we saw terrible coaching errors. Kicking the field goal is nearly as bad as last year’s not going into victory protocol against Ga Tech when we had the game won.

What is really disheartening is that Miami, losing to an unranked team, is likely out of the playoffs.
