Oh sure they are. They publicly make promises which they know they have no ability or will to fulfill. They are worse than hypocrites…. They are outright liars.
Not any different than a person you meet randomly on the street.

This I agree with 1,000%. Everyone is hypocritical. But I do believe that most people stick to their core beliefs.
If an animal activist politician knew they could win office by supporting a law allowing people to punch dogs in the face in public, they’d find a way to fit that in.
I would think politicians are more prone to hypocrisy because they need to pander to voters.
