Sorry but the vaccine is not going to solve 100% of the cases especially with 3 new variants spreading. Getting to herd immunity AND limiting international travel will get us back. We can then expect another 2-5 years of international Covid cases until the world reaches herd immunity. It is a pandemic, we can’t control the virus and we can’t control the humans impacted. IF no one gets the vaccine and we go back to normal, lots of people die. If everyone gets the vaccine but it takes years, lots of people die due to other causes. Find a middle ground and move forward!
I swear both sides are right. People are going to die either way so find ways to work through the pandemic AND do your best to support the vaccine so those that are concerned have a solution to reduce their concerns.
As for the Flu shot, i never got it until recently. As you age, getting the vaccines become more important as our bodies can’t fight off viruses as easily.

You are incorrect. There is a new method of attacking viruses being used by Pfizer and Moderna. J&J is using the old method of delivery. At the core, they are VERY different. J&J attacks the protein spike that is used to attach the virus using a version of the virus. The MRNA vaccines hand off the mRNA cells to our body with no virus. Our body attacks the mRNA which triggers T cells. Since the mRNA is the same mRNA as the virus, your body now has the blue prints to fight it.
I would bet the mRNA vaccines will hold up better to new variants. The J&J one will see some drop off.
Everybody’s immune system is different. Some won’t respond to the vaccine or even the virus. Thus, people will still get sick after the vaccine and some will even get sick multiple times from
Covid. What is cool, once we get to herd immunity those that are weaker will not have the virus introduced to them as the stronger immune system people won’t carry it. Now if you believe in over population, vaccines are a root cause. We can now prevent massive deaths that use to control humans.

The cool thing with the mRNA approach(20-30 years of R&D is finally paying off) is how quickly they can adjust the vaccine to new variants. The J&J approach will likely take 6-9months to adjust.
Since every infection produces new variants in that persons body, this shit could be here a while (in the world). The stronger variants get transferred to new hosts which means it will likely continue to become more contagious over time.
Personally, my concern would be a variant that attacks kids. There are no vaccines available for kids. Personally because I have four kids.
I read a very convincing article that postulated that the reason why children weren’t affected was because they have less ACE 2 receptors than adults.
Less receptors essentially meant that the virus could never reach a load significant enough to cause infection.
IF that is true, then the above should NEVER happen UNLESS the virus finds a way to target a different receptor. (Which would be highly unlikely).
