My city here was ransacked. Windows were shattered and small businesses were destroyed, some of which haven’t returned. It was a nightmare for many cities in the US.
By Djrion’s logic Jan 6th is cool because 99% of the people (an overwhelming majority) were peaceful.

Except you haven’t. Your point is that the BLM riots were largely peaceful. They lasted an entire summer and engulfed major cities. Proportionately, they may have been small because the sheer numbers were so great.
The Capitol event lasted less than half a day and had a similarly small percentage of people causing trouble. Hence, the fair comparison.

I’m a data guy and can get behind the numbers, if that’s where you want to go.
But there were some visuals, particularly the broadcast with a burning building in the background and the anchor talking about peaceful protest.
It’s hard to square that circle.
