Top group can play almost anywhere and i think are above average starters. The second group are important pieces/and either proven starters that won’t hurt you or are good backups, strong, or at least viable 2 deep guys. There are about 7-10 players in second group i think can/will end up the top group but they are young and unproven. I think the top group needs to be about 20+ players to be a top 8-10 team. And would like to see the top 2 groups encompass about 40 players. The bottom group are also serviceable and can play here and who knows, maybe move up, but at this point, look like basically depth

These guys are one step above jag/possibly jags with a little bit of hope left to be a 2 deep, or even a surprise starter. (probably lose a couple portal in this group), but can’t quite make 3rd group because we either don’t know yet or they’ve developed slowly…probable jags still though, albeit high end jags lol.

Honestly, I think most of the college football world are anxiously waiting to see how stays/leaves their school. It’s gotta be insanely stressful on coaches. I suspect the NCAA may come down with some transfer rules not already in place. Welcome to the college football version of free agency.

I’m not worried about Mario and staff handling the portal. They did a good job last year in filling in the gaps. The BIGGEST need will be at QB. Unless there is something that we don’t know about Brown then I suspect we wll be all over Will Rogers and others “like” him.

I saw a report that Van Dyke knew before the final two games of the season that he was leaving and he JUST SO HAPPENS to have a good final two games.

Anyhow, we will be fine. I still don’t get why we can’t land any stud DT guys??

Mamamrelli out but he wasn’t even on the roster anymore to begin with, so I didn’t include him.

And I forgot Ladson was still on the team (great play on the onside kick vs. fSU though), and if I would have remembered I didn’t think he had eligibility left. He would have been in the JAG category, and I’ve added him to portal’d out. But I considered his spot free to begin with.

If Burroughs stays…

I honestly can see us bringing in as few as 4 portal players…I was at about 6-9 players. Alot will depend on JHH and 1-2 other players and whether they stay or go

Worth noting I have Kinchens already out bc I read he signed with an agent.

He has not officially declared, so maybe there’s a slim chance he’s back. Would be huge.

Reports are JHH is back, and Rivers is a strong lean to come back. Both big news.

Will update the portal additions (Clark from NC St. commits tonite on my main roster list here)…But won’t be updating just a portal list for every commit, but we obv all contribute to the portal thread on the recruiting board.
